Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have successfully identified the main features and provided a clear overview. You covered all categories and made relevant comparisons between the two years. However, the report lacks precision in data reporting. For instance, you mention '58 to 60 billions' for petroleum and engineering, but the data points are distinct. Furthermore, your description of the percentage change is somewhat vague; you describe the changes in absolute billions rather than focusing on the percentage trends as requested by the prompt. To reach a higher band, ensure that the data cited matches the graph exactly and that you explicitly address the 'percentage change' aspect of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The response is logically organized into an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Overall', 'On the other hand', and 'While'. However, there are issues with punctuation and sentence structure that affect flow. For example, the phrase 'On the other hand. On the other textile' is fragmented and repetitive, which disrupts the logical progression. Additionally, the use of 'While' at the start of the final paragraph is grammatically incomplete. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help your ideas flow more smoothly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'illustrates', 'export earnings', 'considerable growth', and 'constant'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'remained somewhat same' (should be 'remained much the same') and 'displayed the peak ranging at'. There are also minor spelling errors like 'furthur'. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring that your vocabulary is used in the correct grammatical context to convey your meaning more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Issues include missing articles ('the textile'), incorrect preposition usage, and punctuation errors, such as the fragmented sentence 'On the other hand. On the other textile...'. The sentence 'Whereas the agriculture products was the only category' contains a subject-verb agreement error ('products were'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit your score. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and punctuation consistency.
