IELTS Writing Task 1 question
below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The presented bar graph illustrates the comparative data of one country exports in various categories( petroleum products, engineered goods, gems and jewellery,agricultural products and textiles) during 2015 and 2016,and table delineates the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015. Looking from an overall perspective it is evident that, all the categories was low in 2015, which gradually inclined in 2016 except gems and jewellery, while the change recorded was textiles and the lowest was agricultural products.
To commence with, petroleum products bi icons was recorded 60 in 2015, which progressively improved to 63 in 2016. Likewise, all these exports categories gradually lifted up 2016, while gems and jewellery slitly reduced from 42 to 40.
On the other hand, the highest inclined was textiles in 2016, which was 15.24%, but the lowest inclined was agricultural products, it was 0.81%. Although petroleum products was progressively went up to 3%, engineered goods was significantly increased to 8.5%. However, gems and jewellery was dramatically decreased to 5.18% in 2016.
