below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The graph illustrates the value of one country's exports in various categories such as petroleum products, engineered good, gems and jewellery, agriculture products and textiles between 2015 and 2016. We have to analyze the comparison between various products with the difference of one year.

Petroleum products increased by 3% in one year, whereas engineered goods show a huge difference as it increased by 8.5% in 2016. Gems and jewellery faced some challenges, as their export declined by 5.5% in year 2016 as compared to 2015. Agriculture products represent a slight improvement with 0.81%. The major difference observed in textiles export, because its value raised by 15.25% in one year.

By comparing the differences in the export of all products in one year, it is visible that textile industry showed more progress out of all the other products. In my opinion, fabric or clothing is the one product that everone in the world purchase.
