IELTS Writing Task 1 question
below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The bar graph illustrates the value of four different products which were exported in one country from 2015 to 2016, while table chart compares the proportion transformation in values in 2015 and 2016. The data is measure in billions dollars.
To begin with, The highest value of petroleum products was 60 billions dollar in 2015, with accounting more than 60 billions dollars in 2016. This figure for engin goods stood at under 60 billions dollars during 2015 which was increased upto below 70 billions dollars in last year. However, the number for textiles and agricultural products was lowest just below the 40 billions dollars in both years. Moreover, the average number of Gems and jewellery was accounted slightly more than 50 billions dollars till 2015 that was showed little delcine near 50 billions in 2016.
On the other hand, The percentage of each products inclined except from Gems and jewellery which declined by 5.18%. This proportion for textiles and engineered goods was 15.24% and 8.5% respectively. Agricultural products experienced .81%.
Overall, the value of petroleum products was highest and least for textiles, nevertheless, the percentage change in values for textiles experienced highest values.
