below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
The bar graph provided here illustrate the variation in the percentage of the revenue generated off the export of certain categories of products in a country between from 2015 ro 2016.
Overall, the export trade has significantly peaked in terms of Textiles followed by Engineered goods, while the export of petroleum and agricultural products have only seen a fair rise in a country in the given period. However, the export value of Gems and Jewelry has has drastically dipped in this period of time.
To begin with, the export of Textiles has demonstrated an exponential growth as a whole in the form of 15.24% more revenue generated in 2016 compared to 2015, followed by the substantial rise in the export value of Engineered goods accounting for an 8.5% incline in the same period of time. Complementarily, petroleum and agriculture products have also been exported in considerably higher numbers showing difference of export values 3% and 0.81% respectively from 2015 to 2016.
Contrastingly, the export trade of Gems and Jewelry in particular has drastically dipped 5.18% in 2016 from the total proportion of export value of the same category in 2015.
