below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The bar chart gives information about the export earnings of one country in five categories like petroleum products, engineerd goods.

gems and jewellery, agriculture products, and textiles in 2015 and 2016.

overall, it can be seen that petroleum products and engieered goods were the highest exports. most categories increased in 2016 compared to 2015, but gems and jewllery went down.

in 2015, petroleum was the most popular export with about 61 billion dollars. in 2016, it incresed to around 63 billion dollars. for engieerd goods, the money was about 58 billion dollars in 2015 and then it grew up to 62 billion dollars in 2016.

looking at the other products, gems and jewellery was 42 billion in 2015 but it decreased to 41 billion in 2016. Agricultural products was about 31 billion in 2015 and it went up a little bit to 32 billion in 2016. finally, txetiles was the lowest category in 2015 with 26 billon, but it incrreased a lot to 3` billion in 2016
