below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The bar chart and table illustrate the percentage and earnings of different export items.
Overall, Petroleum products are at the peak whereas textiles are one of the least earning products, yet it depicted the most significant change in values. In contrast, gems and jewelry showed a slight decrease in the figure.
Petroleum and engineered goods are the most popular with around 70 billion earning in 2016 with 3% and 8.5% rise respectively. In contrary, agricultural products and textiles are the least demanding export products with approximately 40 billion shares however, textiles witnessed a substantial increase of exact 15.24% the highest among all five categories of mentioned goods. While agricultural products had the tiniest increase of 0.81% compared to the rest.
Conversely, gems and jewelry is the only figure that experienced a decline. Although, it still remained at the third rank it presented a decrease of 5.18% from above 50 billion to roughly at 50 billion.
