Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given chart illustrates about the data of export earnings in different countries specificly in years 2015 and 2016. The products which have been narrowed down for discussion are Petroleum products apart from them Engineered products Gems and jewellery and some other are Agricultral and Textiles products. Also different percentages are given some show depreciation whereas few shows positive change in the values.
Firstly the most significant product to be discussed is Agricultural products as they show the least percentage of increase between the years 2015 to 2016 in export earnings. On the other end if we talk about the maximum number of increase it can be observed in textiles goods which is upto 15.24%. Which is a magnificient amount of escalation in values. Although other suplies also have increase in percentage. Such as Petroleum products imaging 8.5%, similarly in Engineered goods the escalation is 3% the second last highest percentage of increase.
The other key factor to be observed is that in all the products the values have ascended but only in gems and jewellery products the values have descended upto 5.18% which is impossible to be ignored.
At the end it concludes that with the time the demand of every product is getting greater in numbers except for the gems and jewellery as the values testifies my statement. So to get better export earning the significants products to be kept in notice are textiles and petroleum products. They can play a key role in striking a balance in economy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the task only partially and presents some confusion regarding the data provided in the visual. While the student attempts to report on the various product categories, several key figures and trends are misread or inaccurately described. For example, the student claims that agricultural products showed the least percentage of increase, yet misattributes the actual figures, and confuses the percentage change values with the total earnings. Furthermore, the description of petroleum products and engineered goods contains factual inaccuracies regarding their respective growth rates. The overview is overly generalised and lacks a clear summary of the main trends across the two years, resulting in an underdeveloped response that misses several vital comparisons.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some organisation evident in the division of paragraphs, but the response lacks a clear overall progression. The use of cohesive devices is frequently mechanical, repetitive, or inaccurate, with phrases like 'Firstly', 'On the other end', and 'At the end it concludes' awkwardly linking the paragraphs. Referencing between sentences is sometimes unclear, particularly when transitioning between the discussion of percentages and absolute values. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal logical flow within paragraphs is disrupted by abrupt shifts in focus and unsupported assertions, making it difficult for the reader to follow a cohesive line of argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task. There are noticeable lexical errors and inappropriate word choices throughout the text, such as 'specificly', 'depreciation' instead of decrease, 'Agricultral' (spelling), 'magnificient', and 'suplies' instead of supplies. The student attempts to use less common vocabulary like 'escalation', 'ascended', and 'descended', but these attempts are often marred by collocation errors or awkward phrasing, such as 'imaging 8.5%'. These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted control of word choice, word formation, and spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing displays a very limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex clauses. There are frequent grammatical errors that can cause difficulty for the reader, including missing articles ('in textiles goods'), incorrect prepositions ('with the time' instead of over time), and poor punctuation, particularly run-on sentences and sentence fragments such as 'Which is a magnificient amount of escalation in values.' Subject-verb agreement and word order issues also persist, such as 'the values testifies my statement', further reducing grammatical accuracy across the text.
