The bar chart illustrates the country's exports in different different domains between 2015 and 2016. Meanwhile, table depicts the change in term of percentages.
During 2015, export of all products decreases overall. However, highest export of petroleum products is observed estimating around 65 billion dollars.
Moreover, engineered goods are exported less in number as compared to petroleum products but more than other products

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
The response fails to meet the minimum length requirement of 150 words, stopping abruptly at just 63 words. Because the writing is severely underdeveloped, it only addresses the task minimally. While the student attempts to introduce the visual data by mentioning the bar chart and table, the content contains significant inaccuracies, such as stating that the export of all products decreased overall in 2015, which contradicts the provided data. Furthermore, the summary lacks a proper overview and fails to report the main features or make the necessary comparisons across the categories for both years, leading to a very limited and incomplete response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The text demonstrates some basic organisational structure by attempting an introduction and body sentences, but it lacks an overall progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are minimal and sometimes awkward, as seen in the transition 'Meanwhile, table depicts', which misses an article and fails to link the two sentences smoothly. Paragraphing is disjointed due to the extreme brevity of the response, with single-sentence paragraphs that do not allow for a logical flow of information or a structured comparison of the chart and table.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, featuring simple terms like 'products', 'domains', and 'export'. There are noticeable lexical inaccuracies and awkward phrasing, such as 'different different domains' and 'in term of percentages' instead of 'in terms of percentages'. Additionally, the student writes 'engineered goods are exported less in number', which is an unnatural collocation when referring to billions of dollars of export earnings. The range of vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate for the task, with errors that occasionally strain comprehension.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response shows a very limited range of sentence structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with occasional, faulty attempts at comparison. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly missing articles, such as 'Meanwhile, table depicts' and 'highest export of petroleum products'. Verb tenses and forms are also mishandled, as demonstrated by 'export of all products decreases overall' when discussing past years (2015 and 2016). These recurring errors in basic grammar and article usage cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a weak control of grammatical accuracy.
