Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response attempts to cover both the bar chart and the table, but the selection and reporting of main features are limited and inaccurate in places. For example, the writer misreads several values from the chart, stating that petroleum and engineering sectors earned '70 billion $' and '68 billion $' in 2015 when the actual figures are around 61 and 57 respectively. While an overview is attempted, it is inadequately developed and contains mechanical listing of data rather than a clear synthesis of trends. The figures cited throughout the body paragraphs frequently deviate from the visual data, leading to a partial and somewhat confused treatment of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The text is organized into paragraphs with an introduction, body, and separate discussion of the chart and table, which provides a basic structure. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression, and the logical flow between sentences is occasionally disrupted. Cohesive devices are used in a mechanical or repetitive manner, such as repeatedly starting sentences with 'In the bar chart,' and 'In the table.' Referencing is also sometimes unclear, making it difficult to follow the relationships between data points across the two visual sources.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. There are noticeable spelling and word choice errors, such as 'illustartes', 'tarde', 'sectors' (used where categories are meant), 'significatly', 'experianced', and 'durine', which occasionally cause strain for the reader. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items like 'marginally rise' and 'higher growth', but inaccurate collocations and word forms prevent more precise expression.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer demonstrates a limited range of sentence structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent attempts at complex forms that turn out faulty. There are frequent errors in verb tenses, agreements, and prepositions within grammatical patterns, such as 'were derived highest sells', 'it fell from 55 billion $', 'Agricultural companies marginally rise', and 'it was rose'. Punctuation and article usage also show frequent inaccuracies that can cause difficulty for the reader.
