Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response makes a minimal attempt to address the task by mentioning some of the export categories and figures from the chart. However, the data provided contains significant inaccuracies and misinterpretations when compared to the visual source. For instance, the figures cited for petroleum products and other categories do not accurately reflect the visual data, and the overview at the end is confused. The response lacks a clear, well-developed summary of the main trends and features, resulting in a partial and underdeveloped treatment of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response shows some basic organization by discussing categories sequentially, but there is no clear overall progression or logical structure. Paragraphing is absent, with the entire text presented as a single block of writing. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, and mechanical, relying heavily on basic linkers like 'next' and 'then'. Referencing is frequently unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of information smoothly from one point to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Vocabulary use is basic, limited, and repetitive throughout the response, relying on simple terms such as 'exports', 'categories', 'products', and 'graph'. There are notable lexical and numerical confusion errors, such as misinterpreting percentage changes as absolute dollar amounts (e.g., '$0.81 billion'). While the language used is minimally adequate to convey the basic topic, the vocabulary range is constrained and restricted to elementary terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammatical range is very limited, consisting primarily of simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex structures. There are frequent errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and sentence boundaries, such as run-on sentences and missing capitalization ('in above bar graph', 'it increases', 'copare boyh'). These persistent errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader in parsing the intended meaning of the sentences.
