Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main categories and note that petroleum and engineered goods are major exports, while textiles show the strongest growth. However, several figures are substantially misread: petroleum is about $61 billion in 2015 and $63 billion in 2016, not $6 billion and $8 billion; engineered goods rise from about $57 billion to $62 billion, not $5 billion to $7 billion; and gems fall from about $43 billion to $41 billion, not $51 billion to $49 billion. The overview also says agriculture changed least, although textiles’ percentage increase is greatest and agriculture’s is smallest. The response therefore covers the task only partially, with key comparisons and data insufficiently accurate. Check the chart scale and distinguish dollar values from percentage changes.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview and paragraphs reporting details. This gives the reader some organisation, and phrases such as “Overall” and “In terms of percentage” signal a shift in focus. However, progression is limited because the details are not grouped or compared consistently, and the final sentence breaks off at “and s,” leaving the report unfinished. Some links are also unclear: “increasedd to 8.5 percent in next year reached to $7 billion” combines a percentage change and an export value without a clear relationship. Use complete sentences, group the figures by trend, and connect each comparison explicitly to its year and category.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “export,” “categories,” “percentage,” “increased,” and “decreased,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to interpret, such as “tabel chart,” “repersents,” “enguneered,” and “earning of a country from exporting materials.” Some expressions are also unnatural, including “highest exporting from country” and “textiles export.” Aim for accurate category names and standard chart-reporting collocations, such as “export earnings,” “the highest-valued category,” and “exports rose to.” Careful proofreading of spelling and word forms would make the information clearer and more precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the contrast introduced by “While” and the overview statement beginning “Overall.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors frequently affect clarity. For example, “While tabel chart repersents…” is a dependent clause without a complete main clause, while “The engineered good had export of $5 billion in 2015 increasedd…” joins ideas without a clear grammatical structure. There are also problems with articles, agreement and tense, as in “the earning of a country” and “Textiles export had increased.” Punctuation is unreliable, including spaces before commas and a sentence fragment at the end. Build complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check tense and sentence boundaries.
