Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the two visuals and note the broad pattern that petroleum and engineered goods are the leading categories, while textiles and agricultural products are lower. However, the overview is not consistently accurate: gems and jewellery are described as earning “more than 50%,” although the chart gives values of about $43 billion and $41 billion, and the claim that all categories except gems rose conflicts with agriculture, which is essentially unchanged. Several percentage figures are also inaccurate: gems fell by 5.18%, not 5.81%, and textiles rose by 15.24%, not 15.25%. The response is also four words below the 150-word minimum. Include a clearer overview and accurately compare the main values and changes.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs discussing the chart and percentage changes. Phrases such as “overall” and “Turning to” help signal these sections. However, progression is weakened by repetition: the overview and the next paragraph both state that most categories increased, without adding much detail. The final paragraph lists figures in a compressed sequence, making the relationships between categories harder to follow; “where are” also does not clearly connect the contrast. Organise the body around the largest values and then the changes, using clear comparisons and references. This would make the information easier to track and reduce the mechanical feel of the linking.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “exports,” “product category,” “percentage,” and “decreased,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate or awkward, such as “share highest exports,” “positive value,” and “increased in its value.” Spelling errors—including “productus,” “jwellerys,” and “beeing”—are noticeable and can distract the reader. Use precise terms for the data, such as “export earnings,” “accounted for,” and “remained stable,” and check spelling carefully. More accurate collocations would help you describe comparisons and trends without relying on repeated general wording such as “value.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a few longer sentences, including the overview beginning “overall” and the contrast about gems and jewellery, but control is inconsistent. Errors in sentence structure and agreement appear in phrases such as “two images provides” and “all the products … have slightly higher earning,” while the final list lacks a clear grammatical frame (“pgoods are 3% engineered goods are 8.5%”). Articles and sentence boundaries are also unreliable, as in “in year 2015 and 2016.” These problems sometimes make the intended comparisons difficult to interpret. Build accuracy with complete sentences that have a clear subject and verb, then use a small range of controlled complex structures, such as “whereas” clauses, to compare categories.
