Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the main pattern that most categories rose while gems and jewellery declined, and you correctly highlight textiles as having the largest percentage increase and petroleum as the highest-earning category. However, some details are inaccurate: agricultural exports rose by 0.81%, not 0.18%, and the chart shows textiles increasing from about $26 billion to $31 billion, while petroleum rose from about $61 billion to $63 billion. The overview is relevant, but the response gives few actual values and does not clearly compare the categories across both years. The engineered-goods increase is reported accurately as 8.5%, but its earnings are not quantified. Include key figures from the chart and table to make the summary more complete and precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs of supporting details. The sequence from the general trends to individual categories is easy to follow, and linking words such as “Overall,” “whereas,” and “however” help signal comparisons. Some connections are less clear, though. For example, “Engineered goods were lesser in foreign sale” does not specify the earnings being compared, and the final paragraph moves quickly from gems to agriculture and textiles without giving their chart values. Use more explicit comparisons and organise the details consistently, such as grouping the categories that increased before discussing the decline. This would make progression smoother and references clearer.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “export earnings,” “product categories,” “dramatic rise,” and “minimal increase,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, several word choices and collocations are unnatural or imprecise: “got increased in their exports,” “jump exports,” “accounted as the largest exports,” and “abroad sales.” There are also spelling errors in “petroluem” and inconsistent capitalisation of “textiles.” Prefer standard chart language such as “exports increased,” “the largest rise,” “accounted for the highest earnings,” and “overseas sales.” More precise vocabulary would also help distinguish export values from percentage changes, which are sometimes blurred in the current wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast in “except gems and jewellery…” and a clause beginning “whereas petroleum products…”. The overall meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “The charts presents” has subject–verb disagreement, while “it increased 3%” needs a preposition or a different verb construction. In “Gems and jewellery got fall,” the article and verb pattern are incorrect, and “agriculture products got a minimal increase” has an awkward grammatical construction. Check agreement, articles, and verb patterns, and use forms such as “exports increased by 3%” and “gems and jewellery fell.” Greater accuracy in these patterns would strengthen the range you are already attempting.
