Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

The response attempts to describe the export categories, but it does not give a reliable summary of the chart and table. Some figures and trends are substantially misreported: engineered goods are described as rising from 60 to 70, whereas the chart shows about 57 to 62; agricultural exports are said to decline to 40 and later to vanish, although they remain around 31 in both years. Textiles increased from about 26 to 31, rather than decreasing, and the table reports percentage changes, not product importance. There is no clear, accurate overview of the main pattern, such as textiles having the largest percentage rise and gems and jewellery declining. Focus on the key comparisons and check each trend against the visual before writing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is an attempt to divide the response into paragraphs and to use an opening and conclusion, so the reader can see that you are discussing two years of export data. However, the ideas do not progress in a clear sequence: the second paragraph repeats the introduction, while later paragraphs repeat or contradict claims about textiles and agricultural products. Linking phrases such as “In conclusion” do not provide a meaningful summary, and references like “the products” are too vague to show which category is meant. Organise the report around an overview followed by accurate comparisons, and use category names consistently so each sentence connects clearly to the data.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “exports,” “categories,” “value,” and “declined,” which shows an attempt to describe chart information. However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for this task: “importance of products” does not describe export earnings or percentage change, and “consumed” is not appropriate for export values. Phrases such as “totally different,” “extremely decreased,” and “was vanished” are imprecise and make the intended trends difficult to interpret. There are also spelling and word-form problems, including “germs” for “gems” and “engineering good.” Build a more precise set of chart verbs and collocations, such as “rose to,” “remained stable,” and “accounted for.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response includes attempts at both simple and longer sentence forms, but control is inconsistent. For example, “the engineering good they were similar consumed” combines clauses without a clear grammatical structure, and “The value of agricultural products were declined” has problems with agreement and verb form. The sentence beginning “In 2015” also shifts awkwardly between past and present (“was … consumed in 2016 … was”), making the comparison hard to follow. Punctuation and spacing are unreliable, as in “different,i t,” and several sentences lack clear boundaries. Practise writing short, complete comparison sentences first, then combine them with accurate past-tense verbs and consistent subject–verb agreement.
