Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main categories and include several percentage changes, and your overview correctly notes that petroleum and engineered goods were the leading earners while gems and jewellery declined. However, several key figures are substantially misreported: engineered goods rose from about $57 billion to $62 billion, not to $70 billion, and petroleum increased from about $61 billion to $63 billion, not from $70 billion to above it. Textiles rose from roughly $26 billion to $31 billion, rather than $35 billion to over $40 billion. The claim that agriculture and textiles were the lowest is also imprecise, since agriculture was above textiles in 2015 and equal to it in 2016. More accurate comparisons and a clearer overview of the largest rise and the decline would strengthen the report.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and a paragraph describing changes. This gives the reader a coherent overall arrangement. You also use linking expressions such as “Overall,” “While,” and “As a result.” However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Dip was noticed in Gems and jewellery also its values change was…” joins two ideas without clear punctuation or a suitable connector, while the repeated “While” clauses make relationships harder to follow. The final paragraph combines the decline in gems with the stable agricultural figure without clearly separating the comparisons. Use one paragraph for the overview and organise the details in a consistent order, grouping increases separately from the decline and near-stability.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “percentage changes,” “growth,” “stable figure,” and “export,” so the reader can generally understand the subject. There are also attempts to vary wording, such as “demonstrated growth” and “Dip was noticed.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for describing a table and chart: “numbers of exports” and “number of earning” are not suitable collocations, and “Dip was noticed” is awkward. “Agriculture products” and “Texiles” also show word-form or spelling problems, while “values values” is an obvious repetition. Aim for precise terms such as “export earnings,” “rose,” “fell,” and “remained stable,” and check spelling and collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “While” and “which,” but control is inconsistent. Several sentences contain faulty clause connections or punctuation, such as “Dip was noticed in Gems and jewellery also its values change was -5.18%,” and the opening sentence uses a comma splice before “While.” There are also errors in articles, agreement, and sentence construction: “Textile presented a increase” and “Agriculture product show a stable figure.” Capitalisation within sentences is inconsistent, and some long sentences become difficult to follow. Practise separating complete ideas with full stops or using accurate conjunctions, and check verb forms and articles. More reliable sentence control would allow your comparisons to be expressed clearly.
