Student answer (Band 5.0)
The table and bar chart depicts the information about value of one country exports in different groups from 2015 to 2016.
Overall, the maximum proportion of exports was petroleum products, while the minimum proportion was Agriculture in the given bar graph. Besides, except Gems and jewellery the percentage of value increased in all given pdoducts.
The petroleum export was increased from 60% to 67% in during 2015 to 2015 year, while Engineered goods export was 58% in 2015, which was increased only 60% after one year. Gems and Jewellery exports proportion was lowest, that was only 50% in 2015 and after one year decreased near to 48%, whereas Agriculture proportion was stable in both given years only 41%. Textile proportion was lowest in both years.

Textiles production was increased 15.24%, while petroleum products increased only 3%, whereas Engineered goods increased 8.5% and agriculture proportion was increased only0.81%, which is less compared to another products.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main categories and attempt an overview, noting that petroleum products were the largest export and that gems and jewellery declined. However, several key figures and comparisons are misread: petroleum is about $61 billion in 2015 and $63 billion in 2016, not 60% and 67%; gems were about $43 billion and then $41 billion, not 50% and 48%; and agriculture was among the lower categories, but textiles—not agriculture—was the smallest in 2015. The statement that textiles was lowest in both years also conflicts with the chart. The table’s percentage changes are mostly reported accurately, but the overview and chart description are not consistently grounded in the data. Select the most important trends and report values with the correct units.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph describing chart values, and a final paragraph about percentage changes. This gives the reader some organisation, and words such as “Overall,” “while,” and “whereas” show attempts to connect comparisons. However, the progression is weakened by contradictory statements: textiles is called the lowest category in both years after agriculture has been identified as the minimum, and the chart and table information are not clearly separated. Some linking is mechanical or inaccurate, as in “while” comparisons that do not establish a clear contrast. Group the chart figures by rising, falling, and stable categories, then summarise the table changes in a distinct paragraph, using clear references to each year.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “exports,” “percentage,” “increased,” “decreased,” and “stable,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms reduce precision: “maximum proportion” and “minimum proportion” are unsuitable for values measured in billions, while “Textiles production” does not describe export earnings. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “pdoducts” and “Jems,” and repeated use of “proportion” where “value” or “earnings” would be clearer. Use accurate chart language consistently, such as “export value,” “accounted for,” and “rose/fell to,” and check spelling and category names before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including comparisons with “while” and “whereas,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “The table and bar chart depicts” and “The petroleum export was increased.” The time expression “in during 2015 to 2015 year” is faulty and makes the period unclear; the intended comparison is between 2015 and 2016. Other problems include “all the products values was increased” and the missing space in “only0.81%.” These frequent errors sometimes make relationships between figures difficult to follow. Practise accurate past-tense reporting (“rose from … to …”), subject–verb agreement, and concise comparison sentences, then proofread each sentence for articles, prepositions, and punctuation.
