Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You take a clear position in the opening, saying you “fully agree,” and you give relevant examples of women working as doctors, researchers, scientists and in sport. However, the response addresses the question only partially: it mainly describes women’s achievements rather than explaining why societies still have not achieved gender equality. The claim that change is resisted because of cultural traditions could be developed with a specific example, and the points about medicine and law need explanation and support. The final sentence is unfinished, leaving one idea incomplete. The response also falls 111 words short of the required minimum, which substantially limits the opportunity to develop reasons and examples. Explain the remaining inequalities and connect each example directly to your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the opening states your view, and the next paragraph introduces women’s achievements. Linking expressions such as “in addition” and “Furthermore” show an effort to connect ideas. However, the progression is limited, and the relationship between women’s achievements and the claim that equality has not been reached is not made clear. The second paragraph shifts from professional fields to women’s role in medicine and law without a developed sequence, while the final sentence stops abruptly at “womens.” Use separate paragraphs for distinct reasons, and make each paragraph follow a clear pattern: point, explanation and example. Complete the final idea and use linking words only where they accurately show the connection.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “gender equality,” “cultures,” “various fields,” “researchers” and “crucial role.” These choices make the general subject understandable. However, the range is limited, and several inaccurate or repetitive expressions make meaning less clear, such as “got every spot light” and “make a good position.” Spelling errors, including “contries,” “philosphers” and “considerd,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise phrases that describe the issue, such as unequal opportunities, representation or discrimination, rather than relying mainly on lists of professions. Check spelling and word forms carefully, and choose natural collocations—for example, women “have proved their abilities” rather than “proof their self.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, using clauses introduced by “because” and “in which,” and the main position is generally understandable. However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. For example, “societies dose not” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “Women's proof their self” does not form a correct verb phrase. The sentence beginning “because suddenly no one can accept” is difficult to follow, and the final sentence is incomplete. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check singular and plural subjects, verb forms and sentence boundaries, and reread each sentence to ensure it expresses a complete idea.
