Student answer (Band 7.0)
It is widely seen that women's roles in the societies have changed significantly in the last 50 years, but these societies are yet far from reaching gender equality for all of them. I strongly agree with this view, because although there have been much changes in leadership roles and more employment opportunities for women, general oppression towards them and tendency to rely heavily on patriarchal societies have diminished the changes.
In recent days, females have been involved in guiding and leading the major sectors of development. Some of these include running organizations, taking part in the parliamentary works and leading world-class companies. For instance, in Bangladesh, there are 50 seats reserved for female representatives in the parliament to encourage them to take part in the legislative activities. Women are also being offered more employment opportunities recently.
Nevertheless, these advancements have been overshadowed by several reasons. Although women are encouraged to engage more in employment, many of the job providers seem less interested to take them in, only because they are thought to be incapable to do official tasks. Moreover, being born in a male dominating society, women are considered only to do household works, such as, taking care of children, cooking, cleaning etc., whereas men are preferred more for jobs. In addition, they are even deprived of their basic rights, especially in the rural areas. For example, it is very common in Bangladesh to see women not getting the deserved shares of their parent's properties.
In conclusion, despite women participating more and more in social, political and official activities, societies have failed to ensure gender equality by suppressing them in these roles, as well as by establishing a dominating patriarchal community. I, therefore completely agree with this view.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I strongly agree”—and is maintained in the conclusion. You address both the progress women have made and the continuing barriers, using relevant examples such as reserved parliamentary seats in Bangladesh and unequal inheritance rights. The discussion of employment discrimination and expectations around domestic work also supports your view. This meets the task well, with ideas extended and supported. To strengthen the response further, develop the examples more precisely: explain how reserved seats translate into influence, or how unequal property rights limit women’s economic independence. Some claims, such as employers generally viewing women as incapable, are broad; qualifying them or adding specific support would make the argument more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay has a clear progression: the introduction states your view, the second paragraph presents evidence of change, the third explains continuing inequality, and the conclusion returns to your position. Linking expressions such as “Nevertheless,” “Moreover,” and “In addition” help signal the relationship between ideas, while the Bangladesh examples give the discussion a consistent focus. This is a logical and easy-to-follow structure. At times, however, the connections are somewhat formulaic, and the final sentence of the introduction compresses several causes into one long claim. You could improve flow by making the relationship between each example and the main argument more explicit, and by varying transitions rather than relying mainly on paragraph-opening linkers.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.5
You use a suitable range of topic vocabulary, including “leadership roles,” “employment opportunities,” “legislative activities,” “basic rights,” and “patriarchal.” These choices allow you to discuss social, political, and economic dimensions of inequality. There is also some attempt at more formal phrasing. However, several collocations and word choices are unnatural or imprecise, such as “parliamentary works,” “male dominating society,” and “deserved shares of their parent's properties.” “General oppression towards them” is also broad and awkward. These do not prevent understanding, but they limit precision and naturalness. Aim to learn vocabulary in common combinations and choose terms that describe the specific issue, such as workplace discrimination or unequal inheritance rights.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex structures, including concessive clauses beginning “although” and “whereas,” and the sentence contrasting employment with domestic expectations shows an attempt to handle several related ideas. Meaning remains clear throughout. Some grammatical errors and awkward constructions persist, however. For example, “there have been much changes” has a quantifier and agreement problem; “only because they are thought to be incapable to do” uses an incorrect infinitive pattern; and “I, therefore completely agree” needs punctuation around the linking adverb. The long sentence beginning “Moreover” also makes the clause relationships harder to control. Review countable and uncountable forms, verb patterns after adjectives, and punctuation around sentence connectors, while keeping complex sentences manageable.
