Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays women are working equal as men. They are giving a tough competition to men in all aspects.Women are free and racing in all fields as men. They are playing a key role in development of the society. They have equal rights as men in fields where they can participate with them.

In beginnings of 1950's many women are permitted to household work. They are treated as slaves in those days. The men of the house permitted them to the work outside the house. In short, the women are trapped in the boundaries of the house. The men in those days didn't respect the women decision in any kind of matter.Although many women came out of the boundaries and participated in many events. They are inspirational to many women.

In early 2000's, women participated in many events and successful in most of them.Beginning of 2010 , the women are in same number as men in all fields of work. Before 2015, there is no single women who drove a truck. But later a women from Tamil Nadu in India become the first women of the country to drive a long vehicle.Later taking her inspiration many women drove vehicle.Although women are participating in all fields , the societies are not recognising them and demotivating them.

In my opinion, the women are successful as men in all fields where the men are participating. Many women are working out of the nation boundaries. There is clear fact that women are treated as men in present generations.Over the past 50 years there is development of the society and women are helping it happen.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the changing position of women over the last 50 years. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you provide a general overview, the arguments lack depth and specific supporting evidence. For instance, the claim that women are in the same number as men in all fields is a broad generalization that lacks nuance or supporting data. To improve, you should focus on providing more detailed explanations for your points and ensuring that your position is clearly maintained throughout the essay. The conclusion is somewhat contradictory, as it suggests women are treated equally, which conflicts with the prompt's premise that gender equality has not been fully achieved.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the chronological progression of your argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and repetitive. Many sentences start with similar structures, such as 'The men in those days...' or 'In early 2000's...', which makes the flow feel somewhat disjointed. Additionally, the transition between ideas is often abrupt. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and phrases (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'despite this') to connect your sentences and paragraphs more fluidly, ensuring that the logical progression of your argument is clearer.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is quite basic and repetitive. You frequently use simple terms like 'work', 'fields', and 'events'. There is a lack of more sophisticated or academic vocabulary that would demonstrate a higher level of proficiency. For example, instead of repeating 'fields', you could use terms like 'professional sectors' or 'industries'. Furthermore, there are some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'working out of the nation boundaries' instead of 'working internationally' or 'abroad'. Expanding your range of synonyms and learning common collocations will help improve your score in this area.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, particularly regarding articles ('the women', 'a women'), subject-verb agreement ('many women are permitted'), and tense usage ('In beginnings of 1950's many women are permitted'). These errors are persistent and occasionally make the meaning slightly unclear. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, you should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically the correct use of articles and verb tenses. Proofreading your work for these common errors will significantly improve the accuracy and readability of your writing.
