Student answer (Band 6.5)
Women empowerment is major goal in today's time and had been going on since many decades. No doubt nowadays women get equality in various field but not always. In my perspective I agree to larger extent that societies cannot claim to have achieved gender equality although position of women has changed over past 50 years. The essay will anticipate with all the arguments and facts.
This paragraph will explain agreement on why societies cannot claim to achieve gender equality. Firstly, women had been suffered from many years due to gender inequality and many women fought for this , all this happen because society is made of patriarchy and male dominated field for example in politics there are majority of men and women did not able to get chance and second main reason is family from the childhood girls has been treated differently from the boys in all terms like when cleaning the home always parents first choose girls not boys same happens in cooking and other chores. Therefore, society cannot be able to achieve gender equality.
Furthermore, often after weeding women are being pressurized to take care alone of the boys family and leave their own hobby, passion and job while men tend to enjoy their life without any tension of taking care of his family and when child is born women have to take care of it all the time by sacrificing her sleep, beauty, career and her own peace at the same time men take hold of no responsibility and enjoy his life. In co-operate world women face gender inequality in many field like civil engineer, mechanical etc , and also in job they often gets less opportunity than men due to gender biased culture of society.
Conversely, in many places women are able to get equality and also her husband and her family are moving toward equal lifestyle with bearing of 50-50 responsibility of everything in many household.
To conclude, society is the main factor of generating inequality in first place then also women changed the society opinion in many ways and has been growing and empowering each other and still fighting to achieve gender equality

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that gender equality has not been fully achieved. The ideas are relevant, focusing on domestic expectations and workplace disparities. However, the development is somewhat limited; the arguments rely on generalizations rather than specific, well-supported examples. The introduction is slightly repetitive, and the essay structure is functional but lacks a sophisticated flow. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced arguments and avoid over-generalizing about gender roles, as this can make the analysis feel slightly one-sided.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'Firstly', 'second main reason', 'Furthermore'). There are instances where the connection between sentences is weak, particularly in the transition between the second and third paragraphs. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the concluding paragraph is quite brief, failing to fully synthesize the main points discussed in the body paragraphs. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between ideas would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'women empowerment is major goal' (missing articles) and 'after weeding' (likely meant 'wedding'). The use of 'co-operate world' instead of 'corporate world' is a noticeable error. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the intended meaning, it is often repetitive and lacks the sophistication of less common lexical items that would demonstrate a higher level of control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'women had been suffered'), missing articles, and incorrect verb tenses (e.g., 'all this happen'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and sentence boundaries. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to distract the reader and indicate a lack of control over more complex grammatical forms. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be beneficial.
