Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, the place of women gets changed over the past years whereas, in many cities people think that women are not equal to the men. I strongly disagree with this statement. I will explain my viewpoints in the upcoming paragraphs.
Firstly, in this modern era, women give their best in the studies as compared to men and girls give hard exams to get higher position their life. Men just go to work in the office, but the women not only do jobs but also, they handle their housework and they take care of their children. Along with it, today women have power to run their own business they do not need anyone. for example, girls are on Instagram platforms. I know one of leady who have her own coffee shop she makes new flavors and launch in her cafe and she also earn money from Instagram while posting her cafe videos on social media, even she also does promotions of other famous brands.
In addition to it, many girls and boys go abroad for their further studies and girls do earn money while working there same as boys. The fact is that boys get food services in other country, but girls prepare food by themselves even if they get tired from their shifts. furthermore, in this era women can do anything whatever they want to do in their life, and they challenged to men while doing more hard work and getting higher positions in their career. As a result, girls are equal to boys.
In conclusion, women can achieve anything same as men, but I think they achieve gender equality in this era.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you take a clear position, your arguments rely heavily on personal anecdotes (e.g., the coffee shop owner) rather than broader societal analysis, which is expected in an Academic Task 2 essay. The conclusion contradicts your introduction; you state you 'strongly disagree' that gender equality has not been achieved, but then conclude by saying 'I think they achieve gender equality in this era,' which creates confusion regarding your stance. To improve, ensure your arguments are balanced and supported by general evidence rather than specific, narrow examples, and ensure your conclusion aligns with your introduction.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is often mechanical or abrupt. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly,' 'In addition to it,' and 'In conclusion,' which helps structure the text, but the internal logic within paragraphs is sometimes weak. For instance, the transition from discussing academic studies to the personal anecdote about a coffee shop lacks a clear logical bridge. Additionally, some sentences are repetitive, and the referencing (e.g., 'she' in the second paragraph) is occasionally unclear. Improving the use of linking words to show contrast or cause-and-effect would enhance the overall progression.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing such as 'get changed,' 'do jobs,' and 'do anything whatever they want.' There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'girls give hard exams' instead of 'girls sit for challenging examinations' or 'girls are on Instagram platforms.' To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more academic collocations and precise terminology related to social issues, such as 'socio-economic status,' 'professional advancement,' or 'systemic barriers,' rather than relying on informal, conversational language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the place of women gets changed'), article usage (e.g., 'in other country'), and word order. Some sentences are run-on or lack necessary punctuation, which occasionally forces the reader to re-read to grasp the meaning. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain grammatical slips that impede the flow. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency would significantly improve your score.
