Student answer (Band 5.5)
Over some years we can see that women's have achieved great deal in many societies. But there is still lack of gender discrimination amongst some societies. I strongly agree with the given statement.
Firstly, in our country it has been seen that more women are engaging in work to become independent and earn for them self to live a life they want. But somewhere we can totally see that a women is been judge for working at night or doing a part time job of a taxi driving which is totally wrong. In these world full of skilled and literate people there are still some people how dose gender inequality.
Secondly, sometime it creates a bad impact on todays generation because in a house where both girl and boy child is been treated differently. for example, if I talk about my neighbour they always treat there both children differently. According to them a girl child have to do all works related to house , they says that a girl should know each and every thing of housekeeping she need to know how to cook food how to wash utensils and many more. Whereas the boy child have to only focus on him self and his study or his business. Which is totally a wrong thing. both of them are leaving in a same world so they should treat them equally.
at last but not the least, I would like to say that there should be no discrimination. there is nothing present in this whole world a women can not do she can do each and every thing she want.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position on gender inequality. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide a personal example regarding your neighbor, the argument remains quite anecdotal and lacks a broader, more analytical perspective on why gender equality remains elusive in modern society. To reach a higher band, you should aim to balance personal examples with more general, societal observations. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and lacks a summary of the main points discussed. The task is addressed, but the depth of analysis is insufficient for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite basic and sometimes repetitive (e.g., 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'at last but not the least'). Some transitions between sentences are abrupt, and the logical flow within paragraphs could be improved. For instance, the jump from discussing women in the workforce to the treatment of children in the home is a bit sudden. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'lack of gender discrimination' (when you likely meant 'presence of gender discrimination') and 'how dose gender inequality' (should be 'how they perpetuate gender inequality'). You rely on simple, repetitive vocabulary throughout the essay. To improve, focus on learning collocations and more sophisticated synonyms for common words to express your ideas with greater nuance and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('a women is been judge', 'they says'), incorrect verb forms ('how dose', 'are leaving'), and missing articles. The sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when you attempt more complex constructions. To improve, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, specifically mastering subject-verb agreement and the correct use of auxiliary verbs. Proofreading for these fundamental errors is essential, as they occur too frequently to be considered 'rare slips'.
