Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that the stance of women has changed a lot of things in several societies. However, gender equality is yet to be achieved in them. I completely agree with this opinion because it is extremely challenging for women to do certain jobs man can do which makes them superior in society.
Previously, particularly in developing countries, women were not allowed to do jobs and get education. However, in past recent years, they have raised their voices on international level and fought for their independence and equality. As a result, in most of the countries, government has imposed law of equal educational and job opportunities for women as well. Additionally, if any person is found guilty of harassing a woman, he faces serious punishment in most of the societies. For instance, in public universities of Pakistan, there is 50 percent fixed quota for girls.
However, gender equality is still not achievable in most of the societies. It is because men are capable of doing jobs which are significantly helping economic growth and advancements of country. Women have less expertise and innate strength to do such kind of jobs. For instance, mining in caves for collection of fossil fuels like coal or working as a labor for construction of high-rise buildings.
In conclusion, although women have succeeded in modifying rules of most of the society in their behalf, gender equality is still far from something for them to be achieved. They have to achieve more in the fields in which men have expertise in, to create this significant change.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The argument in the third paragraph—that women lack the 'innate strength' for certain jobs—is a subjective generalization that weakens the logical progression of the essay. While the prompt asks for the extent of agreement, the reasoning provided relies on stereotypes rather than a balanced analysis of systemic or societal barriers. To reach a higher band, the essay should focus on more objective factors, such as the gender pay gap or the 'glass ceiling' effect, rather than biological essentialism, which can undermine the persuasiveness of the argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'However,' 'Additionally,' and 'For instance,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical, and the logical flow between the second and third paragraphs is slightly abrupt. The concluding paragraph summarizes the main points effectively, but the final sentence is a bit repetitive. Overall, the information is arranged coherently, and the progression of ideas is generally easy to follow, though the connection between the paragraphs could be more sophisticated to achieve a higher score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'innate strength' and 'modifying rules,' but there are also instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'stance of women' instead of 'status of women' and 'on international level' instead of 'at an international level.' Collocations are occasionally imprecise, which limits the precision of the argument. To improve, the student should focus on using more academic collocations and refining word choices to better suit the formal tone required for an IELTS essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'jobs man can do' (should be 'jobs men can do'), 'in past recent years' (should be 'in recent years'), and 'on their behalf' (should be 'to their advantage'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor errors in article usage and pluralization throughout the text. These errors do not impede communication, but they do prevent the essay from reaching a higher band, as the control over complex structures is not yet consistent enough.
