Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the recent era, women empowerment has gradually increased and rights for women has considered equal to men. However, many societies still argues about women equality and cannot claim to have achieved gender equality. I totally agree with this statement and my views and discussion are given further.
From the past 50 years women role in every sector has increased and they are making their place in society. Women now have more rights and opportunities compare to the last century. The governments are supporting and helping them in various sectors. For instance, in many countries education for females are free of cost to encourage the communities to send their daughters at school. Moreover, in these days women now have opportunities to stand in politics, to ask for better lifestyle and raise their voices against violence. In addition to that their are so many companies who hire only females to encourage them to earn money and to be independent.
However, there are many communities who still do not believe in equality. Women still faces problems like lower salary than men, fewer opportunities for leadership and discrimination. Furthermore, so many females are still not independent and do not have rights to complete her passion, they still have to do household work and raise their kids. For females, there has been patriarchy for what they belongs to.
To conclude this, I completely agree with this statement because there are some group of people who still believes in inequality. However, from the past more than 50 years women has raised their voice and demanded equality.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have identified both the progress made and the remaining challenges regarding gender equality. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, when mentioning that 'many companies hire only females,' this is a broad claim that lacks nuance or specific context. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are supported by more detailed explanations or concrete examples rather than general statements. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'However,' 'For instance,' and 'In addition to that' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and the flow between sentences can feel slightly disjointed. For instance, the transition in the final paragraph is weak, as it repeats the introduction rather than summarizing the main points effectively. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'empowerment,' 'patriarchy,' and 'discrimination' appropriately. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'rights for women has considered equal' (should be 'are considered') and 'complete her passion' (which is not a standard collocation). There is also some repetition of basic vocabulary. To improve, focus on learning collocations—words that naturally go together—and try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater clarity and sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the accuracy of your writing. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('many societies still argues,' 'women still faces,' 'there are so many companies who hire,' 'there are some group of people who still believes') and incorrect pronoun usage ('for what they belongs to'). These errors occur throughout the text. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and ensure that your verb tenses are consistent. Reducing these frequent errors will significantly improve your score.
