Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the contemporary era, it is a matter of debate that women's role has been changed in different aspects of society over the past 50 years, but societies perception regarding remained same. Many people have their distinct mind set, but i partially disagree to this impression that perception about women's role did change over the period of time.
On the one hand, still many people do not want to recognize the women's role in our society though they contributed a lot to our society. In spite of doing a lot for making a better society, they are not being valued properly. Countries like Bangladesh where more than half of the people are from female, they are not getting their recognition. Not only that they are being deprived from their fair wages in most of the factories, but also they are not being paid for their extra hours of working.
Going toward to the second school of thought, where many people do believe that women's are getting equal rights in aspects of their life. Beside they are being favored by their top managements in most of the time. Additionally, they get early promotion. Moreover, they also get a lot of sick leaves. Beside, they do not have to work in challenging sectors such as electricity, diving, cleaning the surface of sub-marines. A good example of women empowerment practice is Bangladesh, because our two prime ministers were female, and they ruled us for more than 35 years. Beside, women's are getting quota facilities in government job sectors, which is absolutely unfair.
In conclusion , i would like to say that gender equality has been increased significantly over the last five decades.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt but lacks a clear, consistent position. While the introduction states a 'partial disagreement', the body paragraphs present conflicting arguments without effectively synthesizing them into a coherent stance. The first body paragraph focuses on the lack of recognition for women, while the second paragraph argues that women are actually favored in certain sectors, such as through 'quota facilities'. This creates a disjointed argument that fails to fully explore the extent of gender equality. The ideas are relevant but remain somewhat superficial and under-developed. To improve, ensure that your position is clearly defined and that each paragraph directly supports that stance with more nuanced analysis rather than listing contradictory points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between the two body paragraphs is abrupt, and the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the phrase 'Going toward to the second school of thought' is unnatural. Additionally, the use of 'Beside' at the start of several sentences is repetitive and grammatically incorrect in this context. While the essay is readable, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the somewhat disjointed flow between ideas limit the coherence. Improving the variety of transition signals and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one would significantly enhance the overall structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'societies perception regarding remained same' and 'women's are getting equal rights'. The use of 'female' as a noun ('more than half of the people are from female') is incorrect; it should be used as an adjective. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the overall control is limited, and there is a reliance on basic sentence structures and repetitive word choices. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise collocations and academic terminology would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('women's are getting'), incorrect article usage, and punctuation errors. For instance, 'In conclusion , i would like to say' contains unnecessary spaces and a lowercase 'i'. The sentence structure is often repetitive, and the misuse of prepositions and pluralization (e.g., 'women's' instead of 'women') is persistent. To reach a higher band, focus on proofreading for basic errors and attempt to incorporate a wider variety of complex sentence structures with greater accuracy.
