Student answer (Band 5.5)

Women has made a major change in employment, societies and every field of life. But gender equality has not achieved. Although women are these days are more strong and playing vital role in enormous professions, however there are some reasons that keeps women busy in other areas of life such as responsibilities.

From time to time, women are allowed to get education effortlessly. They can go anywhere like other cities to achieve their dream goals. Women are educated and working as a professional woman in many businesses. Some women are running there own businesses as a entrepreneur. They are fully independent as compared to the past five decades. For instance, women are these days selling their products online through social media platforms more conveniently. They are also working alongside men in banks and offices in many cities.

Even though women are working equally as men but there are more responsibilities on them that keeps them away from their businesses tasks. Many educated women forbid their jobs after marriage because there spouses do not give them permission to go outside for job purposes. Moreover, Many females cannot manage their time because of the responsibilities of childrens and household chores. Therefore, equality has not been fully achieved. For instance, a woman may leave her job due to overburden of household work

In conclusion, women's position has improved significantly. They are now more powerful but in some cases they are still treated as less important. In my perspective, they should treated more valued and there should be more opportunities for women to work equally with men. So that they can play a positive role in society growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by acknowledging the progress made in women's rights while arguing that equality remains elusive. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention employment and education, the arguments regarding 'responsibilities' and 'spousal permission' are presented in a general way without deep analysis. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced examples or explore the societal implications of these barriers more thoroughly. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, but the overall development remains at a Band 6 level as some points are under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central theme. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'For instance,' 'Moreover,' and 'In conclusion,' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. There are instances where the flow between sentences could be smoother; for example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs feels a bit abrupt. Referencing is generally clear, but the logical progression within paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to show more complex relationships between your arguments.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'entrepreneur,' 'conveniently,' and 'significantly.' However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'forbid their jobs' (instead of 'quit' or 'leave') and 'overburden of household work' (instead of 'the burden of'). The vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more sophisticated synonyms to avoid repeating basic words like 'work' or 'jobs.'

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's flow. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Women has made,' 'there spouses,' 'responsibilities of childrens') and incorrect verb forms ('they should treated'). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement, pluralization, and passive voice construction to ensure your writing is more accurate.
