Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent years, women's position has changed thinking level of many people from last 50 years and hence they wont agree with their achievement. It is noted that this issue has become increasingly significant in all societies. Today some people also do not accept the gender equality as the people were not accepting. This essay will discuss aspects of either agreement or disagreement of gender equality.
As per my personal perspective i agree with the position of women in past 50 years. People nowadays are that much educated unless like a 19s people. Women plays an important role in now society. For example, in Pakistan there are places who required a women to be run. when police has to do raid on someone house they need women to go to any home. which will results in better following of rules and privacy. Similarly women are also giving tough competition to men in education. For instance, In Pakistan girls are taking better marks in exams than men. And hence this will leads to good educated society having educated women.
Similarly, women empowerment has to be shown in also other societies, which will results in an adequate amount of power in both genders. Female doctors are most needed individuals in health sector. For example, if we have to do operation of any c section lady. At that moment female doctor is preferred due to privacy issues. This will leads to give comfort to patient. Moreover, women as mother is a great position to be compared with equality. For instance, mothers take care of their children so the husband should do any other tasks due in home. which will help them both to run their family.
In conclusion, place of women in equality should be treated same to men , because women are playing the same role as of men in now a days. However nothing can be perfect and hence gender equality has also some disadvantages. But the demerits can be solved by keeping proper assisment on the problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response attempts to address the prompt regarding whether societies have achieved gender equality over the past 50 years. The writer takes a clear position, agreeing that significant changes have occurred while acknowledging ongoing challenges. However, the development of ideas is often limited and somewhat confusingly expressed, particularly in the introduction where the core argument is obscured by awkward phrasing. While the writer provides relevant examples—such as female doctors in c-sections and girls outperforming boys in education in Pakistan—these ideas are underdeveloped and lack sufficient analytical depth. The conclusion also introduces a vague mention of disadvantages without proper elaboration. Consequently, the task is addressed, but the support remains somewhat superficial, aligning well with a Band 5.5 to 6.0 performance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into four paragraphs, showing a clear attempt at an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and confusing sentence connections. For instance, sentences like "Similarly, women empowerment has to be shown in also other societies" lack smooth cohesive ties to the preceding paragraphs. Pronoun referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as determining what "they" or "which" refers to in various clauses. While paragraphing is visually present, the internal cohesion within paragraphs is mechanical and sometimes faulty, which occasionally strains the reader's ability to follow the argument seamlessly, placing it firmly in the Band 5.0 range.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for basic communication, but it features noticeable limitations and frequent inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. Examples include phrases like "changed thinking level", "taking better marks", "run a family", and "keeping proper assisment". The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as "empowerment" and "competition", but the overall lexical range remains limited and repetitive. Spelling and morphological errors (e.g., "assisment" instead of assessment, "women" used instead of the singular "woman" in certain contexts) are noticeable and cause some difficulty for the reader, which aligns with the Band 5.0 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic coordination. When the writer attempts complex structures, they are frequently faulty, characterized by missing articles, incorrect subject-verb agreement (e.g., "Women plays", "mothers take care... so the husband should do"), and awkward tense usage. Punctuation errors are also frequent, including missing commas and run-on sentences. These frequent grammatical errors cause noticeable difficulty for the reader and impede comprehension in several places, meaning the performance fits comfortably within the Band 5.0 criteria.
