Student answer (Band 5.5)
Women sacrificed a lot for this society in the previous 50 years and also benefited this society with significant changes however, instead of all these happenings no gender equality can be found in this society. I partly agree with the statement and this essay will elaborate on these societal issues.
On the one hand, male dominance is the thing that push the women backwards and they tend to keep them weak and inferior. Male thinks that the women are only bounded for keeping house and looking after their children. Women should obey men and take permissions even going outside and also do not allowed to work and serve an equal role as of males. Consequently, men augues that woman is the only thing which is for to fulfill our needs and they should be preserved. For example, in rural areas people do not let women to complete higher education because there is still a high ratio of unawareness.
On the other hand, women worked hard and served in various sectors equally to that of men in the past several decades. Firstly, women not only focus on house keeping and childs but their limits are now ahead from these ordinary things. They are serving in academics, politics and also practicing social works. Moreover, the pressure and stress of bearing household expences are now decreased because women also works and these expenditures are divided. For instance, there are enhanced numbers of women doctors and they can cater female patients far enough rather than male ones.
In conclusion, it was true that males wanted their women to be only surrounded by responsibilities of houses and their childs but women are now too much localised with feminism and they are in the same line with male. Therefore, they got equal position to that of men by serving in many places.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The student addresses all parts of the task and takes a clear, albeit slightly contradictory, position ('I partly agree'). The response outlines both sides of the argument: traditional male dominance that restricts women, and the progress women have made in various sectors such as academics and politics. Ideas are extended with examples, such as the mention of rural areas and increased numbers of female doctors. However, there is a tendency to over-generalize and some arguments lack deeper development. For instance, the transition from agreeing to disagreeing within the essay could be sharper. Overall, the task is addressed adequately, fitting the Band 6 descriptors where relevant ideas are presented, though some parts are slightly under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement and follows a recognizable essay structure with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different perspectives ('On the one hand' and 'On the other hand'). However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical, with awkward transitional phrases like 'instead of all these happenings' and 'Male thinks'. Referencing is not always entirely clear, and the logical progression between sentences occasionally stumbles due to grammatical hurdles. Despite these issues, the text remains readable and follows a clear organizational logic, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptor.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'dominance', 'unawareness', and 'expenditures'. However, there are notable word-choice and collocation errors throughout the text, such as 'benefited this society with significant changes', 'push the women backwards', 'bounded for', and 'too much localised with feminism'. Spelling errors also appear, such as 'augues' instead of argues, 'childs' instead of children, and 'expences' instead of expenses. While these errors do not severely impede communication, they reflect the limitations typical of a Band 5 performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some capability to construct multi-clause sentences. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding subject-verb agreement ('Male thinks', 'woman is the only thing', 'women also works'), articles, and prepositions ('do not allowed to work'). Errors in tense consistency and awkward phrasing also occur frequently ('there is still a high ratio of unawareness'). While these errors rarely completely obscure the writer's meaning, they cause noticeable difficulty for the reader and prevent the grammar score from reaching a higher band, comfortably placing this in Band 5.
