Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The student addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position of agreement regarding gender equality. Relevant ideas are presented, such as historical difficulties, modern advancements in fields like education, politics, and medicine, and the need for societal appreciation. However, the development of these ideas is limited and somewhat disjointed. For instance, the mention of specific examples like 'nagma miraj' and a girl making a machine for blind people supports the position, but the points lack depth and fail to build a fully convincing argument. The conclusion is brief and does not adequately synthesise the main points. Consequently, the response aligns best with Band 5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5
The essay lacks clear logical organisation and adequate paragraphing. The text is essentially split into two very long blocks of writing, making it difficult to follow the progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, or inaccurate, with frequent run-on sentences and punctuation issues that disrupt the flow. For example, sentences such as 'in past , we saw that women face many difficulties in their home and also at work palce' flow directly into one another without proper transition or logical linking phrases. Overall, the structural framework is weak and does not meet the standards for Band 6.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently impeded by numerous spelling and word-choice errors. Examples include 'imorotant' instead of important, 'adienity' for identity, 'restications' for restrictions, and 'feild' for field. While the student attempts some topic-specific terminology such as 'gender equality' and 'women empowerment', the lexical control is weak throughout. The presence of frequent misspellings and inappropriate collocations places the writing firmly in the Band 4 category, as errors strain the reader's comprehension.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
Grammatical control is very weak, featuring a restricted range of sentence structures and persistent errors that frequently cause difficulty for the reader. There are widespread issues with basic syntax, subject-verb agreement, and tense consistency, such as 'women do everything but in return society could not appreciate them' and 'now women do evrything on their own . in eduaction department , politics, medical feild,iT department the women lead'. Capitalisation and punctuation are largely neglected throughout the text. These frequent and systemic errors restrict the score to Band 4.
