Student answer (Band 5.5)
Over the recent 50 years women role was frequently replaced in community while our community still not accepting that both male and female are participating equally. I strongly agree with the statement because we are living in male dominant community where women are not appreciated for their contributions.
Initially, womens were restricted to only household chores but over the recent years womens are managing greatly both home and work together. Now womens are playing their part in every occupation for example, police, doctor, army, pilot etc. Sadly, we are living in patriarchial society where male dominate and don't accept women to get more sucessful in their particular field. Whenever, they look at sucessful working women story their male ego got hurt. Additionaly, we have an examples from our daily life when women drive car rather than making things easier for ladies driver they started making fun and start creating troubling situation on the road.
All the fingers are not same likewise, all the male members not having same mentality some considered that women should make their contribution in every occupation. In addition, to that government officials are leaving separate vacant seat for every job role only womens are considered for that. Furthermore, womens are being motivated by sucess stories of other ladies by conducting online interviews on national channels. Moreover, many new hiring includes vacancy for women in every occupation which proves that women are also being considered as working individual. We still have hope for gender equality in future.
To conclude, Living in male dominant society where only male considered superior while we are still have hope for better future as many steps have taken by official to promote equality. I believe that both gender should be give equal rights and appreciated based on their reputation rather then on gender.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear stance agreeing that gender equality has not been fully achieved. The student presents relevant ideas throughout, such as historical limitations on women, professional barriers, and societal attitudes like male ego. However, some ideas are under-developed or supported with somewhat simplistic examples, such as the mention of women driving cars and facing road teasing. The arguments tend to over-generalize slightly and lack the academic depth required for higher bands. Nevertheless, all parts of the task are addressed, and a clear position is maintained from introduction to conclusion, aligning well with the descriptors for Band 6.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is utilized, though some paragraphs mix distinct sub-points, such as combining government initiatives with hope for the future in the third paragraph. Cohesive devices are attempted, but their use is sometimes mechanical or faulty, such as 'Additionally, we have an examples' and 'In addition, to that'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical progression between sentences can feel disjointed due to structural slips. Overall, the organizational structure meets the criteria for Band 5.5, which rounds to Band 5.5 in half-band scoring or Band 6 depending on flow; given the clear attempts at paragraphing and sequencing, a Band 6 is appropriate with minor structural faults.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting less common lexical items such as 'patriarchial', 'contributions', and 'occupation'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'womens' instead of 'women', 'sucessful' instead of 'successful', 'Additionaly' instead of 'Additionally', and 'male dominant community' instead of 'male-dominated society'. These inaccuracies reflect a limited range and frequent errors in spelling and collocation. While communication is not severely impeded and the meaning generally comes across, the lexical control firmly places this response at Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'I strongly agree with the statement because we are living in a male dominant community where women are not appreciated for their contributions.' However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('women role was frequently replaced', 'male members not having same mentality', 'only womens are considered'), missing articles ('when women drive car'), and awkward phrasing ('we are still have hope'). While complex structures are attempted, they are often faulty, and errors require the reader to occasionally pause. This profile matches the Band 5 descriptors.
