Student answer (Band 5.5)

The social prograss of women has significantly changed in most of the community in last few decades. While, these changes have not any major impact on gender equality. I strongly agree with this statement and I will discusse it in the upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, there are many professional positions which seen as respected in socity these mostly handle by men as compared to women. To elaborate, many people still believe that male are more suitable in leadership than female. For example, majority big companies and organisations hire male manager or a leader instead of women woker. Moreover, girls do double shift with take care of their home as well job work. Such as, men and women both work 8 houres, despite that only female coock for their family, clean house and care of children.

In addition, female faced pay gap at work place, they get less income than man despite working on same position. For that reason, changing perpective on women right does not have majorly impact on equality. For instance, male and female do same work but men get 100 dollar per day while women get 85 dollar. Furthermore, many people cannot educate thier daughter as well as not give permission to work and live indepandent due to cultural pressure. Therefore, in some region women cannot able to educate thierselve.

To conclude, apart from women's social position has changed female not get gender equality. Such as, they faced wage gap at work and also cultural pressure. Whereas, they often not able to work as leader and work double shift due to stereotypes among the individuals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task and presents a clear overall position agreeing that gender equality has not been achieved. Relevant ideas are introduced, such as professional leadership imbalances, the double burden of domestic and paid work, and the gender pay gap. However, some ideas are under-developed or lack extension. For instance, the point regarding cultural pressure and educational access in certain regions is stated briefly without sufficient elaboration or concrete examples to fully support the argument. Nevertheless, the main tenets of the prompt are appropriately covered.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, and body paragraphs are marked by basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'In addition', and 'To conclude'. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and referencing is not always clear, leading to a lack of smooth progression between sentences. For example, transitions like 'For that reason' feel slightly repetitive or awkward within the paragraph structure. Paragraphing is used, but the internal logical flow between sentences occasionally stumbles.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The student displays an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'professional positions', 'perspective', and 'stereotypes'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'prograss', 'socity', 'indepandent', and 'thierselve'. Phrasing such as 'job work' and 'coock for their family' shows limitations in collocation and word formation. While these lexical inaccuracies do not seriously impede overall communication, they prevent the writing from achieving a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The text demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, reflecting an attempt to tackle complex ideas. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, particularly regarding subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'female faced pay gap', 'male are more suitable', and 'only female coock'. Prepositional patterns and word forms inside grammatical structures also show recurring slips, like 'on women right' and 'at work place'. Although the meaning remains generally clear, these errors require the reader to occasionally pause.
