Student answer (Band 5.0)
The position of women has changed a great deal in many societies over the past 60 years. But these societies cannot claim to have achieved gender equality. It has become an integral part of the rising debate in the present world.
For my side, I completely agree with this, because there are a lot of changes that occur in society over the past 50 years. It attained beacause of education. But gender equality is still not achieved. Some people thought very bad impression about gender equality. I think gender equality does not means that both male and female do same activities and perform similar functions. Gender equality simply means to have equal rights, and both need to care about both beacuse its not a women responsibilty to feed a men, men can also do this.
In different societies, women deal with different roles. Like in upper class and educated society, women do their responsibilities dually. For example, women not only handling their household duties, but also working for dividing their financial responsibilities. At the same time, they have facilities that facilitate them in doing their work efficiently. While in lower class society, women are uneducated and unware of most of the facilities, also they do not have enough money to approach them. So, those women just do household chores, but their household chores are more than enough. They do not have any facility to facilitate them, and they do all of their work manually.
Over the past 50 years, the role of women has changed, its main reason is awareness. In past years, people thought that the house chores are the permanent responsibility of women, and men even do not allow to go for helping. But now, men thought that women are thir responsibility ans we have to take care of them in every aspect, like financially, emotionally, and by showing his love and care.
To conclude, the society is getting better and better with the each passing years and soon it will achieve the gender equality issue, and our society will become the bestest part of the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position of complete agreement with the statement, but the development of ideas is limited and at times repetitive. For instance, the writer states that gender equality means having equal rights and notes differences between upper-class and lower-class women, such as 'women not only handling their household duties, but also working for dividing their financial responsibilities.' However, several ideas remain under-developed or unclear, such as the vague assertion that 'Some people thought very bad impression about gender equality.' To move to a higher level, the writer needs to extend arguments with more fully elaborated examples and maintain a clearer, more consistent line of reasoning throughout all paragraphs without relying on over-simplifications.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some overall organization with recognizable paragraph breaks, but there is a lack of clear overall progression. While paragraphing is attempted, the logical links between and within paragraphs are frequently faulty or mechanical. For example, transitional phrases like 'For my side' and 'While in lower class society' are awkward and indicate mechanical control of cohesive devices. Furthermore, referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the pronoun shifts and ambiguous antecedents in sentences like 'So, those women just do household chores, but their household chores are more than enough.' To improve, the writer should ensure smoother transitions between ideas and make sure that referencing and paragraph structures consistently guide the reader through a logical progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message of the essay. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and collocation that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, such as 'unware' instead of 'unaware', 'bestest part' instead of 'best part', and 'dividing their financial responsibilities' when contributing to finances is meant. The writer makes attempts at less common vocabulary, but these are often imprecise or inaccurate, as seen in phrases like 'doing their work efficiently' paired incorrectly with manual chores. To achieve a higher level, the writer must expand their lexical repertoire and use less common lexical items with greater precision, natural collocation, and correct spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic coordination. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, leading to persistent grammatical errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions. Examples of these errors include 'a lot of changes that occur' (tense inconsistency), 'it attained beacause of education' (missing auxiliary and passive voice structure), and 'men even do not allow to go for helping' (incorrect voice and prepositional pattern). These frequent errors can cause some difficulty for the reader. To improve, the writer needs to produce a greater variety of error-free complex structures and pay closer attention to grammatical patterns, articles, and verb inflections.
