Student answer (Band 5.0)

In today’s world, the position of women has changed significantly in many societies over the last 50 years. However, some societies are still cannot claim to have achieved gender equality.i agree with this.

Overall, women living in developed countries such as Canada, Australia and many European nations generally enjoy greater gender equality. These countries have established laws and regulations to protect the rights of both men and women.

On the other hand, underdevelop countries for example Pakistan,India,Nepal are still not to claim to have achieved geneder equality. In this countries still increase in crime rate, rape, early marriages, no education for women and many more. There is no proper law in these countries only, those can survived who are from elite class.Otherwise for normal or lower middle class people are still suffuring.Abusive marriages in which they murder women if she doesnt bring dowry or for the sake of honer.basically this countries are still in underdevelop.low povety rate is also the main reason.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

First, it must be noted that the response is well short of the minimum word requirement of 250 words, containing only 157 words, which significantly restricts the depth of the answer. Regarding task fulfillment, the response addresses the task only partially. While you state a clear position by expressing agreement with the prompt, your ideas remain limited and under-developed. You mention developed countries and developing nations like Pakistan, India, and Nepal, but the points provided about crime rates, early marriages, and poverty are stated abruptly without adequate extension or supporting examples. To reach a higher level, you need to fully develop your ideas with detailed explanations and ensure the response meets the full word length.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some basic organization in your writing, with a clear attempt to separate your introduction, discussion of developed nations, and discussion of developing countries into different paragraphs. However, there is no clear overall progression across the text as a whole. Cohesive devices are generally inadequate, inaccurate, or overused, and referencing is sometimes unclear, as seen in abrupt transitions like 'On the other hand, underdevelop countries for example Pakistan,India,Nepal are still not to claim...'. Paragraphing is also somewhat erratic, with the main body section crammed into a single block of text containing multiple distinct ideas. To improve coherence and cohesion, you should use a wider variety of accurate cohesive links and ensure a logical, step-by-step progression of ideas supported by proper paragraph breaks.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is limited but minimally adequate to convey your basic meaning regarding gender equality. You attempt some topic-related vocabulary such as 'gender equality', 'developed countries', and 'elite class', but there are noticeable errors in word form, spelling, and word choice that cause some difficulty for the reader. Examples include 'underdevelop countries' instead of 'developing countries', 'geneder' instead of 'gender', 'povety' instead of 'poverty', and 'honer' instead of 'honor'. Furthermore, phrases like 'those can survived' and 'this countries are still in underdevelop' demonstrate persistent lexical inaccuracies. To achieve a higher band, you must expand your lexical range and eliminate basic spelling and word-form errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You demonstrate a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences, and your attempts at more complex structures are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader. Notable issues include subject-verb agreement errors ('societies are still cannot claim', 'In this countries still increase', 'this countries are still'), missing articles ('no education for women', 'from elite class'), and incorrect prepositional or clausal patterns ('are still not to claim to have achieved'). Punctuation and spacing errors are also frequent throughout the text, such as missing spaces after commas and periods. To improve, you need to use a wider variety of sentence structures with greater accuracy.
