Student answer (Band 5.5)
Now a days, gender equality is one of the hot topic in different parts of the world. The Women empowerment has added a very positive impact in many societies over the past half century, However these communities cannot claim to have successfully acheived gender equality. I completely agree with the above statement and I'll support agreement with examples.
Overall, There was a time when womens were treated very harshly and there were no respect given to them, However, Due to different human rights organizations, women and other genders were given opportunities which added a very positive role in the society. But the authorities are still unable to give proper and equal rights.
First of all, There are many countries who claim to be saviour of gender equality, but the stats shows something different. For instance, More than 80 percent of the employement in government sector are offered to male candidates with very less percentage for women. these figure shows how authorities are still unable to practically claim the achievement of gender equality.
Secondly, Many paperwork have done from couple of decade to announce gender equality but there are no equal opportunities available for women or other genders. For example. In all the parliments of the world, thee percentage of men
is far more then women.
In conclusion, Women and other genders are adding a huge impact in growth of economy in several countries but collectively they still have to fight to get their rights. Government needs to take strong action against the individuals which are humiliating and disrespecting womens in different sectors.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that gender equality has not been fully achieved. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed throughout the body paragraphs. While the writer attempts to provide supporting points, such as government employment statistics and representation in parliaments, these ideas are presented with broad generalisations rather than fully extended analysis. For instance, the claim that over 80 percent of government employment goes to male candidates lacks specific context or nuance. Furthermore, some ideas are repetitive, emphasizing the lack of equal opportunities without introducing fresh dimensions to the argument. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to provide fully elaborated examples and extend the main supporting points with deeper explanations rather than relying on brief, unsupported assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, and the response is divided into distinct paragraphs. However, the cohesion between and within sentences is sometimes mechanical or faulty. Cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' are used to structure the text, but referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in the abrupt transitions and loose connections between ideas in the body paragraphs. Paragraphing is utilised, though logical progression from sentence to sentence lacks smooth transitions. To achieve a higher score, the writer should employ a wider and more flexible range of cohesive devices without relying on formulaic transition markers, and ensure that referencing within and between sentences guides the reader more fluidly through the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used provides an adequate range for the task, touching upon relevant themes such as 'gender equality', 'women empowerment', and 'human rights organizations'. However, there is a limited range of vocabulary, accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of lexical inaccuracies include 'hot topic' instead of a pressing issue, 'acheived' (spelling error), 'employement' (spelling error), 'paperwork have done' (incorrect lexical collocation), and the repetitive use of 'womens' instead of 'women'. To improve lexical resource, the writer needs to expand their vocabulary by incorporating less common lexical items with greater precision regarding collocation and style, while paying closer attention to standard spelling rules and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response displays a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences alongside attempts at complex structures that are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in grammar, punctuation, and agreement that can cause difficulty for the reader. Notable errors include capitalization and punctuation issues like 'Now a days', subject-verb agreement errors such as 'stats shows' and 'these figure shows', article misuse like 'in all the parliments of the world, thee percentage', and awkward prepositional or clausal phrasing such as 'individuals which are humiliating'. To reach a higher standard, the writer must demonstrate better control over complex sentence patterns, ensure consistent subject-verb agreement, manage articles and pluralisation accurately, and reduce the frequency of basic grammatical slips.
