Student answer (Band 5.5)
Over the past few years, the positions of women have been improved to some extent than earlier. In this era, women have reached to a position of country's president or prime minister. Despite of this development, there are some socities who still think that women have not given enough opportunities compared to men. I believe by this century, the world has achieved gender equality in every field whether it is a political field or a healthcare field. We have seen numerous women political leaders and women doctors in their respective field.
Some societies still claim that women have not been given enough opportunities compared to men. I believe, since the men and women are physiologically different, they have been providing with opportunities according to their strength and capability. For instance, women and men are providing with equal opportunies in healthcare, political, academic, business and so on fields while in some fields such as military and transportation, men are given high priority. Because they more capable for these fields than women. It does not mean that we have not achieved gender equality.
In conclusion, by this time women rights and their positions have been developed enough compared to previous centuries. Women are given equal opportunities and value in almost every fiels which is suitable for them. It would not be correct to say that we have not achieved gender equality despite of these developments. Earlier women were not allowed to do politics, they were not permitted to do business and travel world. But in this generation, women are allowed to do whatever they want and are given and prioriting same as men.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that gender equality has been achieved, and you refer to women’s participation in politics, healthcare, business and education. However, the response only partly addresses the question because it does not examine the claim that societies still fall short of equality in a balanced or sufficiently developed way. The assertion that men receive priority in the military and transportation because they are “more capable” is broad and unsupported, and it sits uneasily beside your claim of equal opportunities. The conclusion repeats your position but does not resolve this tension. To strengthen the response, explain what equality means, support your examples, and acknowledge persistent differences such as unequal pay or representation before reaching a qualified judgement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a body paragraph and a conclusion, with the main position stated early and repeated at the end. This gives the reader a basic route through your argument. However, progression is limited because the body paragraph moves from unequal opportunities to physiological differences and then to examples of fields without clearly connecting these points. The sentence “Because they more capable for these fields than women” is also left as a fragment, interrupting the flow. Linking expressions such as “Despite of this development” and “For instance” are attempted, but some are inaccurate or do not make the relationship between ideas clear. Organise each paragraph around one main point and explain how each example supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “gender equality,” “opportunities,” “political leaders,” and “physiologically different,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning awkward: “positions of women have been improved,” “reached to a position,” and “prioriting same as men.” Spelling errors such as “socities,” “opportunies,” and “fiels” also reduce accuracy. Some key terms, especially “opportunities” and “fields,” are repeated without much variation. Build a more precise vocabulary for discussing equality, discrimination and representation, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast introduced by “Despite” and a reason clause beginning “Because.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. Examples include “women have reached to a position,” “they have been providing with opportunities,” and “they more capable,” where verb forms or sentence structure are faulty. The fragment “Because they more capable for these fields than women” needs to be joined to the preceding sentence and requires a verb. There are also problems with articles, prepositions and agreement, as in “in their respective field.” Practise complete sentence patterns and check each sentence for a clear subject, correctly formed verb and appropriate preposition.
