Student answer (Band 5.5)

It often argued that over 50 years period, in many societies the position of women has changed significantly. while these societies cannot argue that they have achieved gender equality. I partially agree with this statement because there are many laws has created to protect womens. However, there are many womens that miss use these laws to earn money.

On the one hand, there are laws that are created by policymaker to protect women. In other words, if we go back 50 years we can see that there were no laws out there in that timeline because of that many individuals do not hasitate to assult or etc thing with women, which makes it hard for women to go out side for the house. As a result, law creates a fear in society to do crime that effect women. For instance, country like AUE have a very strict law for women because of that they can even go outside from there home at midnight.

On the othere hand, many womens use these law in a wrong way to earn money. this is because many women find the easiest way to make money for men because there are law that are very strict that why even a women says that this person try to do wrong thing with me or try to assult me without any evidence the government will punist the person.for example, country like India where many women put wrong alegation agians men just to get money from them.

In conclusion, I agree that there law that help women to walk freely in society. However many women miss uses the law agains men to earn money because they finds it the easiest method to earn money

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear, though only partly sustained, position: you “partially agree” because protective laws exist but can be misused. The two body paragraphs provide relevant examples, including women’s ability to go out at night in the UAE and false allegations in India. However, the response focuses mainly on laws and alleged misuse rather than examining gender equality more broadly, such as pay, education, employment, or representation. The claim that there were “no laws” 50 years ago is also too sweeping, and the examples are asserted rather than explained or supported. To develop the response further, clarify what equality means, qualify broad claims, and explain how each example demonstrates whether societies have achieved it.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs signposted by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow overall. Within paragraphs, however, ideas sometimes run together or repeat, particularly the explanation that strict laws can lead to false accusations and financial gain. Some links are mechanical or unclear: “because of that” is repeated, and “this is because” does not clearly connect the claim to the reasoning that follows. The conclusion also repeats the introduction without drawing together the argument. Use clearer sentence-level links, avoid repeating the same point, and organise each paragraph around one claim followed by explanation and a specific example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “gender equality,” “policymaker,” “strict law,” and “allegation,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “law,” “women,” and “earn money.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “miss use,” “assult,” “punist,” and “wrong alegation,” which reduce precision and sometimes slow the reader. Some expressions are unnatural, for example “go outside from there home” and “make money for men.” Build a more accurate range of collocations for discussing equality and legal protection, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional and causal structures such as “if we go back 50 years” and “because there are law that are very strict.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the argument difficult to read. Examples include “It often argued” (missing auxiliary), “many laws has created” (agreement and passive form), “individuals do not hasitate,” and “they finds.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: the long sentence beginning “this is because” contains several ideas that should be separated. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence punctuation, then proofread each sentence for a complete grammatical structure.
