Student answer (Band 6.5)
In recent years gender inequality has become the topic of considerable debate and widespread issue in society. Over the past fifty years position of women had changed significantly in many societies.Women now have better acess to education, job opportunities and decision making abilities. However, I believe that gender equality has not yet achieved greatly because women still face discrimination, non equal pay and traditional social expectations. I firmly agree with this statement due to several compelling reasons.
On the one hand, women's status had improved significantly over the last five decades. In the past, women had to stay at home and take care of their families rather than pursuing their professional careers. Nowadays, women have great opportunities in terms of education and occupation. For example, females now serve humanity by adopting professions of doctors, engineers, teachers and business leaders. Furthermore, general populance now become aware of women's rights that encouraged them to perform greatly in their personal and professional lifes. As a result, women become more financially stable and contribute in ecnomic development.
On the other hand, in spite of these developments several problems still prevents society from equally accepting both genders.Firstly, women receive lower salaries even they have comparable qualifications and perform their best .Secondly, women have to manage both their household and jobs responsibilities at the same time. For instance, working mother have much pressure of handling their children and also their occupation.
In conclusion, although women now made remarkable achievement in eduaction, employment and social participation, gender inequality remains a serious concern. Governments, employers and families should work together to ensure equal rights, fair salaries and shared domestic responsibilities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear throughout: you agree that changes in women’s status have not yet produced gender equality. You address both sides of the prompt by describing progress in education and employment, then identifying unequal pay and the burden of domestic responsibilities. Examples such as women working as doctors and engineers help illustrate the progress, while the working mother example supports your point about continuing pressures. This gives the response relevant support and a clear overall argument. Some points, however, are asserted rather than fully explained: for instance, the claim that women receive lower salaries would be stronger with a specific example or explanation of how this inequality persists. Developing the causes and consequences of these issues would make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs contrast progress with ongoing inequality, and the conclusion restates the main position and proposes action. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. The ideas within each paragraph are generally ordered logically, and examples are placed near the claims they support. Some connections are a little mechanical, particularly the repeated “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and the second body paragraph moves quickly from unequal pay to domestic responsibilities without explaining their relationship. Use a wider range of transitions and add brief links between claims so the argument flows more naturally.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “gender inequality,” “traditional social expectations,” “financially stable,” and “social participation.” These choices communicate the main ideas clearly, and you attempt some more formal expressions such as “considerable debate” and “remarkable achievement.” However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “acess,” “populance,” “lifes,” “ecnom ic” (intended as “economic”), and “eduaction.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “decision making abilities” and “serve humanity by adopting professions.” Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, for example, “decision-making opportunities” and “work as doctors or engineers.” This would make your vocabulary more fluent and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including contrast clauses with “although” and “in spite of,” and the meaning is generally clear. Some sentences are well controlled, such as “In conclusion, although women now made remarkable achievement…,” though this example also shows an area to improve: the tense and noun phrase need correction (“have made remarkable achievements”). Other errors include missing articles in “Over the past fifty years position of women,” subject–verb agreement in “several problems still prevents,” and singular/plural agreement in “working mother have.” There are also punctuation and spacing slips, such as missing spaces after full stops and before “Firstly.” Review articles, agreement, and consistent tense use, then proofread sentence boundaries. More accurate control of these patterns would strengthen your range.
