Student answer (Band 5.5)
The position of females have improved over the past 5 decades, still many socities believe full geneder equality has not achived yet. If questioned, agree with this notion to a major extent. My inclination is justified further whith appropriate example.
There are several arguments that support my stand. The reason behind this believe is females position have only changed in urban areas. As they are now allowed to work and earn money. For instance, they are now ganing good positions in organisations and leading the several teams, which also include males working under female. This change of postion for women have state that gender equality is now being common in morden cities.
Furthermore, 5 decades earlier females was not allowed to study, it was only meant for males. However, as time passed thinking changed and females children were allowed in school with boys. To elaborate, in the india female kids were not allowed to study. After decades this has been changed and now females kids are out performing every exam compared to boys. Ration of females in top tire universities are still increasing from the past 50 years.
Nevertheless, i will not overlook opposite side too. To begin with, rural areas still have backward thinking about gender. like females should work in households rather than work in organisation to earn. In other words, villagers from backward cast still believe that women should not work and males are far more strong and intelligent that females.
To reiterate, although, female from rural areas still not allowed to work or study, majority of females in morden era are leading certain sectors in major organization.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a position, stating that you agree “to a major extent,” and you discuss changes in women’s access to work and education as well as continuing rural barriers. These points are relevant to the question. However, the response only partly develops the central issue of whether societies have achieved gender equality: the examples mainly describe progress, while the reasons that equality remains incomplete are briefly asserted rather than explained. For instance, the claim that rural women are expected to stay at home would be stronger with a specific consequence or example, and the conclusion does not clearly weigh this against the progress described. Develop both sides more fully and make your degree of agreement explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, paragraphs on employment and education, a contrasting paragraph about rural areas, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Nevertheless,” and “To reiterate” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression is sometimes mechanical, and some connections between claims are unclear. For example, the sentence about women leading teams is followed by a broad conclusion about equality in modern cities without explaining how the example supports that conclusion. The final paragraph also repeats earlier points rather than synthesising them. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the argument; ensure references such as “this change” have an unmistakable meaning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “gender equality,” “organisations,” “rural areas,” and “backward thinking,” and you attempt phrases such as “leading certain sectors.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, including “socities,” “geneder,” “ganing,” and “morden.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “females position,” “top tire universities,” and “Ration of females.” These issues fit a response where vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the general topic but control is inconsistent. Check spelling carefully and learn natural collocations—for example, “women’s representation in senior positions”—rather than relying repeatedly on “females” and “change.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast introduced by “However” and a relative clause in “teams, which also include males working under female.” Nevertheless, errors in sentence structure and basic grammar are frequent and sometimes make relationships difficult to follow. Examples include “The position of females have improved,” “females was not allowed,” and the fragment “As they are now allowed to work and earn money.” Articles, plurals, and agreement also need attention, as in “in the india” and “females kids.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check subject–verb agreement and past-tense forms. Greater accuracy in these patterns would make your ideas easier to understand.
