Student answer (Band 6.0)
Women situation has changed in different societies in the last 50 years. However, societies cannot achieve the gender equality till now. I strongly agree with the statement as women are contributing in the economic sector but still women are not having the equal rights in every aspects because some societies still believe in patriarchy hegemony.
Women are thriving in the private and public sector by giving their best efforts. They are changing the economic dynamics of their country’s. For instance, women of Bangladesh have come out of their home and contributing in the GDP. GDP is highly depended on garment industries and women of Bangladesh are largely employed in the clothing sector. So, women's contribution in the economic sector is highly appreciable.
Women in different parts of world is still treated as a homemaker and they cannot participate in the family decision. Sometimes, it is seen that mass people consider that women cannot be the political leaders as they cannot run the country like men. For example, Japan and Afghanistan, do not consider that womeb can be a political leader as women have to reside in four walls. Another example, Bangladesh and India have progressed so far but still they believed that women should be the care giver and men should be the bread winner. Moreover, they do not give an opportunity to women in family decision. In addition, women face domestic violence during the covid pandemic in India. So, women are not having the equal rights and opportunity in many societies.
To conclude, women are not getting the same value and respect as men despite they are economically free.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that societies have not achieved gender equality, despite women’s economic contributions. The Bangladesh garment-sector example supports the point that women’s roles have changed, while discussion of family decision-making, political leadership and domestic violence addresses continuing inequality. This is relevant coverage of the task. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the claims about Japan and Afghanistan are broad and would be stronger with precise, qualified evidence. The conclusion restates your view but could synthesise the main reasons more clearly. Develop each example by explaining how it demonstrates a specific remaining inequality, and distinguish progress from the areas where equality is still lacking.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, the body paragraphs discuss women’s economic participation and continuing social barriers, and a conclusion returns to the central position. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Moreover,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the argument. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, particularly through repeated use of “So” and “Moreover,” and the second body paragraph contains several examples without a clear hierarchy. Some references are also unclear, such as “they” in “they still believed,” where the group being referred to is not explicit. Use topic sentences to signal each paragraph’s main claim, group related examples together, and vary linking methods by showing the relationship between ideas rather than simply adding another point.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “economic dynamics,” “patriarchy,” “political leaders,” “domestic violence,” and “bread winner.” These choices make the subject and your main concerns clear, and you attempt some less common language. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, however: “women situation,” “patriarchy hegemony,” “highly depended on,” and “reside in four walls” do not sound natural in context. There are also spelling and form slips, including “womeb” and “country’s.” These generally do not prevent understanding, but they reduce precision. Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships and checking possessives, spelling, and whether a noun or adjective form is needed.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as,” “but,” and “despite,” and your meaning is generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain. For example, “Women in different parts of world is still treated” has problems with the article, subject–verb agreement and passive construction; “they cannot participate in the family decision” also needs a more accurate article and plural form. In “women are economically free,” the contrast introduced by “despite” is not formed correctly in the conclusion. Aim to check agreement and articles, and practise accurate passive sentences and contrast clauses. More consistently controlled complex sentences would make your argument easier to read.
