Student answer (Band 5.5)

yes, we can defineltly say that from last 50 years women have gained a new higher position in the society and even they have been provided more rights in comparison of men and government is also backing them in order to get them empowered

but there are still many corners of societies where women are not even geting access to their rights. they still fighting for their dignity and freedom. some places women are still demanding their right to education but the people are blinded by the their orthodox tradition and promoting several illitrate steps like child marrige and not allowing their daughter to get proper education and supressing them to do household chores like cooking and cleaning

government has been doing a fantastic job in order to remove all this orthodox tradition they are providing free education to women , mid day meals and charge 0 rupees for any entrance examination and runing schemes like beti bachao beti padhao inorder to get them education and set them free to grow in their life as a free human being government is providing varieties of scholorships for women to get best education at comparatively less cheaper expenses colleges are seting low cutoffs for them so they can get inn and experience best opportunity

government are doing best job in their perspective and their are many NGO's working on women equality and fighting for women rights and making sure that any women with big ambition and wanting to explore more things in world is not supressed by the orthodox traditions which their family is following through many years and they are providing helpline numbers on which women of any age group can contact them if they are facing any irregular sufferings or problems by their surroundings and they are very keen and sensitive about it recently their has been a new police force have been form in order to make dure upon women safety and lady or girl call on their helpline contact they reaches at their location to make sure that they are safe and secure in all the ways

so by all this we can conclude that, their has been a progress in women equality and their position in society but i think their is still a lot more work left to by us the citizen of this holy nation

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the central issue by acknowledging progress in women’s position while arguing that equality has not yet been achieved. Examples such as barriers to girls’ education, child marriage, and restrictions to domestic roles are relevant, and you also mention government schemes and support organisations. However, the position is not fully clear at the start: the opening mainly celebrates progress and does not directly state whether you agree that equality remains incomplete. Much of the response describes initiatives rather than evaluating how far they have reduced inequality, and several claims are broad or insufficiently explained. State your degree of agreement clearly, then develop a smaller number of examples by showing both their impact and the continuing gaps.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is an overall sequence from continuing discrimination, to government action, to a concluding view that more work is needed. This gives the reader a basic sense of direction, and the final paragraph returns to the main issue. However, the response is presented as very long blocks with little paragraph separation, so the shifts between social barriers, government schemes, NGOs, and police support are difficult to follow. Connections are often made with repeated forms such as “and” and “in order to,” rather than varied, precise linking. Some references, including “all this orthodox tradition” and “they,” are unclear. Use distinct paragraphs for the argument, examples, and conclusion, and make each paragraph’s main point explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “gender equality,” “orthodox tradition,” “dignity,” “freedom,” “scholarships,” and “women’s safety.” These terms help communicate the subject and show some attempt to use vocabulary beyond basic everyday language. However, the range is limited by repeated wording such as “government,” “providing,” and “women,” while several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, for example “higher position,” “illiterate steps,” and “less cheaper expenses.” Spelling errors such as “defineltly,” “marriage,” and “supressing” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of expressions for equality and policy, and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas in complex sentences, particularly when describing education schemes and support services, but these structures are often difficult to control. Errors in verb forms and agreement occur throughout, as in “women are not even getting access” and “their has been a new police force have been form.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also frequently missing, causing several ideas to run together and making the reader work to identify the intended structure. Articles and plural forms are inconsistent as well. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine related ideas using accurate clauses. Pay particular attention to subject–verb agreement, past participles, and full stops.
