Student answer (Band 6.0)
Women are the integral part of every society. As compared to the past, their position in the society has changed alot over the period of time. Despite this evolution, societies can not claim regarding hundred percent gender equality.
I am highy in favour of this statement. Although, women rights and their worth in many cultures or societies are now much better than before. But as far as equality between men and women are discussed, we need to work more on this specific domain.
There are many departments of life where men and women are treated equally now. For example, we are seeing equal number of opportunities in different fields like health care, corporate sector, sports and all that.
Meanwhile, some areas like fredom of speech, independecy in making decisions, right to choice of marriage, still rise questions regarding women position in society. Over 50 years, we have done lot of work in making outside environment better for women daily survival. But, houses where women are living, people there are still not able to accept equality of this specific gender.
Our socities are habitual, in terms of domianting women. They like seeing women under pressure atleast in some domain. This dominancy is not always from men side. Sometimes, women who get some position like a mother, who has a daughter. She will dominate her daughter by questioning her decisions.
I will conclude this essay by clarifying that old problems of women like right to education, work, what to wear etc. These are no more under discussion. Modern women are facing different issues now. We as society need to work at this, to ensure gender equality. If men has a freedom in all these areas, then women should also have equal freedom.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you agree that societies have not achieved gender equality, and you acknowledge progress as well as continuing barriers. The examples about opportunities in healthcare, business and sport, alongside freedom of speech, personal decisions and marriage, address the question directly. This meets the task well, and the conclusion reinforces your view. To make the argument more fully developed, explain how these examples demonstrate inequality—for instance, give a specific example of unequal decision-making at home or unequal access to leadership. The point about mothers dominating daughters adds nuance, but its connection to wider gender inequality needs clearer explanation. Some claims, such as that older problems are “no more under discussion,” are also too broad without qualification.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, paragraphs on progress and remaining inequalities, and a conclusion. The contrast signalled by “Meanwhile” helps the reader follow the shift from improvements to ongoing problems, and your position remains consistent. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes loose. The paragraph beginning “Our societies are habitual” moves from social attitudes to mothers and daughters without clearly explaining the relationship between these points. Some linking is also mechanical or awkward, as in “Although… But” and “I will conclude this essay.” Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim. More precise referencing would also help readers understand what “this specific domain” and “these areas” refer to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “gender equality,” “freedom of speech,” “independence,” and “decision-making,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “corporate sector” and “dominating.” However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable, including “alot,” “fredom,” “domianting,” and “right to choice of marriage.” Phrases such as “outside environment better for women daily survival” and “old problems… are no more under discussion” are difficult to interpret precisely. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, and choose wording that states the intended idea directly. This would make your vocabulary more reliable and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a concession in “Although women rights… are now much better than before” and a conditional in “If men has a freedom…”. These attempts show some range, but several sentence patterns are not controlled consistently. For example, “Although…” is followed by a separate “But” clause, creating a faulty construction, while “men and women are treated equally now” is followed by “equal number,” where the noun phrase needs a determiner. Agreement is also inconsistent in “men has,” and “women position” needs a possessive form. Some punctuation, particularly commas separating sentence parts, makes relationships less clear. Practise accurate complex clauses and check agreement, articles and possessives during revision.
