Student answer (Band 6.0)
The debate of gender equality has been uncertain in many societies, with the position of women having been changed significantly over the past 50 years. But those societies still argue that gender equality has yet to be achieved. I do also agree with this claim as i believe that gender equality has not yet been achieved because Women still face social and economics gap, even where laws are equal.
Socially, Women face multiple challenges. Whether that be safety concern, harassment issue, or appearance expectations. There've been multiple news about things that happens towards Women, such as the Cornell 7, which raise safety concern for women as they're constantly being targetted by people with bad intentions. Women on average face more harassment on both online and in-person than men do. Additionally, Women still face pressure regarding physicals appearances and roles within societal norm.
Economically, Women still face 'The Gender Pay Gap". Women earnings are estimated to be less than men by 20% to 25%. Further more, Women face more double standards in the work-force than men do. Certain jobs refusing to hire women or pay them more. Alongside the social within the work place, treating Women harshly or not taking them seriously at all.
In conclusion, Women still have to deal with mulitple issues in both social and economics having safety concerns, harassment issue and appearances expectations, facing the Gender Pay Gap where they're paid less than men alongside double standards within the work place. These reasons are why i agree that gender equality has yet to be achieved for women, even with the massive changes that has happened over the past 50 years.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that gender equality has not been achieved, and you address both social and economic barriers. The examples of harassment, appearance expectations, and the gender pay gap are relevant to the question. However, some points are asserted rather than explained. For instance, the reference to “the Cornell 7” is not clarified, so its relevance may be unclear to a reader, and the claim that women earn 20% to 25% less would be stronger with context or a source. The workplace points about hiring, pay, and being taken seriously are also grouped together without showing how they demonstrate continuing inequality. Develop fewer examples in more detail and connect each explicitly to your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs separate social and economic issues, and a conclusion restates the argument. This makes the main line of reasoning easy to follow. The paragraph openings “Socially” and “Economically” also help signal the organisation. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with repeated references to “Women” and repeated lists of problems, especially in the conclusion. Some links between ideas are not fully clear: “Alongside the social within the work place” does not explain how the point connects to the preceding claims. Use clearer transitions and pronoun referencing, and organise each body paragraph around one main claim followed by explanation and an example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “gender pay gap,” “harassment,” “double standards,” and “societal norm,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “appearance expectations.” However, several word-choice and collocation problems reduce precision: “safety concern,” “harassment issue,” “Women earnings,” and “the social within the work place” are not natural or clear expressions. Spelling errors such as “mulitple” and “targetted” also affect accuracy. Some wording is repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “Women face.” Build a more accurate range of collocations and vary how you describe inequality, while checking spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple statements and some more complex forms, including “even where laws are equal” and “as they’re constantly being targeted.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “the position of women having been changed” is an awkward construction; “the position of women has changed” would be clearer. In “things that happens,” the verb does not agree with the plural subject, and “Women earnings are estimated” needs a possessive form. Capitalisation is also inconsistent, with “Women” and “i” used incorrectly in several places. To improve control, check subject–verb agreement, possessives, sentence boundaries, and capital letters, while continuing to practise varied sentence structures.
