Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the contemporary era, women are no less than men, as both are equally responsible for performing household responsibilities and doing their jobs. However, I disagree with this statement that societies cannot claim to have achieved gender equality. I will further explain in the next paragraphs.

To begin with, nowadays women have the power to do everything they want because they are working and also responsible to care of their children wisely. Moving forward, females are better in studies, and they are eligible to get equal freedom to move freely. Furthermore, women are getting hired in police and army forces. They are strong enough to perform every task equally to men. Also, we need women to raise our generations.

Furthermore, ladies are social workers, doing outdoor activities, for eg. gym, being good at sports, and achieving medals. womens having a leadership qualities and work life balance. Although men are more emotionally strong than women, women cannot be disappointed because women play every role in a better way, and also women have to make sacrifices. Moreover, governments need to give education to youngsters and also provide free surveys to make people aware that women and men are equally responsible for everything and there is no discrimination between them. Also, respecting each other is the key to success.

IN CONCLUSION, equality is important because everyone has the right to live according to their choices. It is better to understand that everyone has the same chances to succeed, as women are not less than men. Although men are the heads of the household, they need women's advice to make decisions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a clear disagreement with the claim, and several points relate to women’s changing roles, including employment in the police and armed forces, education, sport, and leadership. However, the response only partially answers the central question: it lists examples of women’s participation but does not explain convincingly why these changes mean society has achieved gender equality. Some claims are unclear or contradictory, such as saying men are “the heads of the household” while arguing that everyone has the same chances. The point about men being more emotionally strong also needs explanation and support. Develop two or three relevant arguments with specific examples, and address continuing inequalities before concluding that equality has been achieved.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” make the broad structure visible. However, ideas do not progress in a consistently logical way: the second body paragraph moves from social work and sport to emotional strength, sacrifices, government education, and respect without showing how these points connect. Several transitions are mechanical, and “Also” and “Furthermore” are repeated rather than used to clarify relationships between ideas. The conclusion introduces the claim that men are household heads, which weakens the argument developed earlier. Group related points into focused paragraphs and use clear explanations or references to link each example to your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “gender equality,” “leadership qualities,” “discrimination,” and “freedom.” This gives you enough language to communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, particularly repeated references to “women” and “men” and the broad phrase “do everything they want.” Some collocations are unnatural, such as “responsible to care of their children,” “free surveys,” and “make sacrifices.” Spelling and word-form control also need attention in “womens.” Aim for more precise terms for equality and employment, and check that each phrase expresses the intended meaning naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a concession beginning “Although men are more emotionally strong than women” and a reason clause with “because.” Most of the main ideas remain understandable, but the range of sentence patterns is limited and errors recur. For example, “responsible to care of their children” has an incorrect grammatical pattern, while “womens having a leadership qualities” lacks a finite verb and has problems with number and article use. The sentence beginning “Although men…” also joins several ideas in a way that makes the structure difficult to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns, articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, then build longer sentences from those reliable forms.
