Student answer (Band 5.5)
THE POSITION OF WOMEN HAS CHANGED A GREAT DEAL IN MANY SOCIETIES OVER THE PAST 50 YEARS. OTHERS ARGUE THAT OTHERS ARGUE THAT THEY DO NOT ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS.
WOMEN NOW HAVE GREAT ACCESS TO EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT AND NOW THEY BECOME A PART OF POLITICAL PARTICIPATIONS.
HOWEVER, COMPLETE GENDER EQUALITY HAS NOT YET BE ACHEIVED.
I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THERE IS ASTILL GAP BETWEEN MAN OR WOMEN.
FIRSTLY, WOMEN HAVE MUCH BETTER ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION THAN IN PAST. MOSTLY, WOMENS ARE NOW WORKING OUTSIDE IN PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS AND MAKE BETTER CAREER. WOMENS CAN BECOME DOCTORS, ENGINEERS, TEACHERS. THEIR HARDWORK AND DEDICATION BECOME SUCCESSED AND NOW SHE RAN AWAY TO LARGEST COMPANIES WITHOUT HESITATION. ITS ALL BECAUSE THEY CAN IMPROVE OURSELF AND BOOST OUR CONFIDENCE OR SKIP THE NEGATIVETY AROUND
IN MANY COUNTRIES WOMENS ARE THE SAME LEGAL RIGHTS AS COMPARED TO MEN. FOR EXAMPLE, THEY CAN CHOOSE OUR PROPERTY THEY CAN CHOOSE CAREER WITH FULL INDEPENDENTLY. WOMENS ARE MORE FULL FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT AND SOCIALLY CONFIDENT THEN THE PREVIOUS GENERATION. THEY CAN BUY THEIR OWN THINGS WHICH SHE NEEDS THAN THEY CAN SUPPORT FOR OUR FAMILY. WOMENS COMMUNICATE WITH OTHERS DIFFERENT PURPOSES.
BUT IN SOME WAYS MANY COUNTRIES STILL GENDER EQUALITY EXISTS. WOMEN STILL FACE LOWER SALARIES IN SOME WORKPLACE. MEN ARE OFTEN MORE LIKELY TO REACH THE SENIOR POSITION AND NEVER DEALS WITH OTHER STAFF MEMBERS AND TOOK THE MANAGEMENT SEAT.
WOMENS USUALLY MANY RESPONSIBILTIES FOR CHILDCARE AND HOUSEHOLD WORK. SOME WOMEN LEAVE THEIR CAREER BECAUSE OF CHILDERN AND AFTER MARRIAGE.
MORE CHANGES ARE NEEDED IN WORKPLACE, FAMILIES, AND SOCIETY. WITH EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AND SOCIAL ATTITUDES THE GAP BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN CAN GRADUALLY DECREASE.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your response addresses both sides of the question and gives a clear overall view: women’s opportunities have improved, but equality has not been achieved. Relevant points include access to education and professional work, legal and financial independence, pay differences, fewer women in senior roles, and childcare responsibilities. These examples show a sound understanding of the topic. However, some points are asserted rather than explained—for instance, the claim about men reaching senior positions is not supported with a reason or example, and the discussion of women’s progress includes several unclear claims. Develop fewer ideas more fully, and make the extent of your agreement explicit in the introduction and conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an identifiable overall structure: it introduces progress, gives examples of women’s gains, contrasts these with continuing inequalities, and ends with a recommendation. Paragraphing and signposts such as “Firstly” and “But” help readers recognise the main sections. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several points are joined together without clear relationships. For example, the sentences about professional careers, confidence, and “skip the negativity” move between ideas abruptly. References such as “they,” “she,” and “our” are also inconsistent, making it unclear who is being discussed. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain it with a relevant example and use linking phrases selectively.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “higher education,” “professional positions,” “financially independent,” “lower salaries,” and “childcare.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main themes of gender equality. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning unclear: “political participations,” “make better career,” “become successed,” and “skip the negativity” are examples. Spelling and word-form errors such as “acheived,” “responsibilties,” and “childern” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural phrases for this topic and check whether each noun, verb, and adjective fits its context; for example, use “participate in politics” rather than “political participations.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the overall message can usually be understood. However, sentence structures are often limited, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and pronoun use frequently make individual claims difficult to interpret. For example, “Complete gender equality has not yet be achieved” needs the passive form “has not yet been achieved,” while “Women usually many responsibilities” is missing a verb. In “Their hardwork and dedication become successed,” the sentence structure and verb form do not convey the intended meaning. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses using “because,” “although,” or “while.” Check agreement and pronoun consistency when revising.
