Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address the three requested points: you explain that you work as a waiter at TKR Restaurant, describe communication and professional skills, and give an interview date, time and location. The details about helping the kitchen team also support your suitability. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, “strong communication and professional skills” is asserted but not illustrated with a brief example, and the interview arrangement is unclear because you refer to “the given date, location and time” without confirming whether these have already been agreed. The letter would be more effective if you clearly stated your availability and added a specific example of your customer-service experience. Overall, the response is relevant and covers the task, but some information remains unclear or underdeveloped.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The information follows a generally sensible order: your current work and motivation come first, your additional suitability follows, and the interview details appear near the end. Paragraph breaks help separate these stages. You also use linking expressions such as “Additionally” and “furthermore” to connect ideas. However, the first paragraph combines several points in a long sentence, making the relationship between your current job, skills and interest harder to follow. “Additionally” and “furthermore” also perform similar linking functions close together, while “meanwhile” does not clearly show the intended relationship. Separate the main points into shorter sentences and use transitions only where they clarify the progression. This would make the overall organisation easier to follow and cohesion less mechanical.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to applying for restaurant work, including “communication,” “professional skills,” “supervision,” “shortage” and “kitchen team.” These choices show an attempt to use a range beyond basic job-related words. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations reduce clarity, as in “resturant,” “passoinate,” “hotel platform” and “specific training.” Some phrases do not express your intended meaning precisely; for example, “ability to dvance my skills in this” is difficult to interpret. Aim for accurate spelling and natural collocations, such as describing the restaurant’s training opportunities or your experience serving customers. The vocabulary is adequate for the purpose, but more precise phrasing and careful proofreading would make your application sound more professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a sentence that links your current work with your skills and another that explains how you could support the kitchen team. The main ideas are usually understandable, but some grammatical errors make the sentences difficult to process. For example, “My name is Usama Khan I belong to District Mardan, and currently working” joins clauses without suitable punctuation and omits a subject before “currently working.” In “I can also work along with chef,” the article and plural form need attention, and the interview sentence lacks a clear grammatical structure. Use complete sentences, check verb forms and articles, and punctuate clause boundaries. Greater control of these patterns would make your meaning clearer while preserving the range you are attempting.
