Hello

Greetings!!!

This is Aryan Shivade, I am currently not working because I am a student (17 years old) but I would like to apply for the waiter, I’ve heard it from the local newspaper and my friends have worked to the restaurant they gave me such a good review’s.

My availability would be full time Monday to Friday and Saturday and Sunday would be my off because I need to spend time with my family.

I am interested to work in this job and when will be my interview.

I hope hearing from you.

Thanks and Regards

Aryan Shivade

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the score. While you addressed the three bullet points—explaining your current status, mentioning your suitability, and asking about an interview—the ideas are underdeveloped. For instance, you mention your availability but fail to provide any specific skills or reasons why you would be a suitable candidate for a restaurant role. To improve, you must expand on your experience, personality, or willingness to learn to demonstrate your suitability. The letter is also too informal for a professional job application.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter lacks a formal structure. It is written as a single block of text rather than using standard business letter formatting (e.g., formal salutation, clear paragraphing for each requirement, and a formal closing). There is a lack of cohesive devices to link your ideas; sentences are disjointed, making the flow feel mechanical. To improve, use transition words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in addition' to connect your thoughts and organize your response into distinct paragraphs for each of the three required points.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is very basic and repetitive. You rely on simple phrases like 'I am currently not working' and 'I am interested to work'. There are also errors in word usage, such as 'my friends have worked to the restaurant' (should be 'at') and 'they gave me such a good review’s' (incorrect pluralization). To achieve a higher band, you need to use more professional and varied vocabulary related to employment, such as 'enthusiastic', 'punctual', 'customer service', or 'previous experience'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains several grammatical errors that affect clarity. For example, 'I’ve heard it from the local newspaper' is awkward; 'I saw the advertisement in the local newspaper' would be more accurate. There are also punctuation issues, such as the unnecessary apostrophe in 'review’s'. The sentence structure is limited to simple or compound sentences with little variety. You should practice using complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses or conditional sentences, and ensure subject-verb agreement is consistent throughout your writing.
