Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all three bullet points in the prompt: current status, suitability, and interview availability. However, the development of these points is somewhat superficial. While you mention your degree and experience, the explanation of your current situation is vague, and the request for an interview is missing a specific timeframe, which is a key requirement of the task. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, but the structure lacks the professional polish expected in a formal application. To improve, ensure you provide concrete details for each requirement, such as specifying your current occupation or studies and proposing a clear window for an interview.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is logically organized, moving from the purpose of the letter to your qualifications and finally to the interview request. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Consequently', and 'Moreover' to link ideas. However, the paragraphing is insufficient; the entire body of the letter is contained in a single block of text, which makes it difficult to read. Using clear paragraph breaks between the introduction, the body paragraphs (covering your experience and suitability), and the closing would significantly improve the flow and professional appearance of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on basic phrases such as 'great fit' and 'amazing things'. There are also some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'Job request for the given offer' (which is not standard phrasing for a subject line) and 'working experience... as waitresses' (should be 'waitress'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more specific professional terminology related to the hospitality industry and avoid repetitive phrasing. Your spelling is generally accurate, though 'effeciently' and 'beieve' contain errors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that detract from the quality of the writing. Examples include 'I am writting' (spelling), 'fit to this role' (preposition error; should be 'fit for'), 'I had worked' (tense error; should be 'I have worked'), and 'I know to communicate' (should be 'I know how to communicate'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly regarding the lack of proper paragraphing. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage will help improve your accuracy.
