Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The letter addresses all three bullet points: your current situation, your suitability for the role, and your availability for an interview. However, the tone is inconsistent with a formal job application. Phrases like 'Respected Authorities' and 'offer me a job and assigned me as a waiter' are slightly unnatural for a professional context. While you have covered the requirements, the development of your suitability could be more professional; focusing on specific restaurant skills rather than personal traits like 'well dressing' would make your application more persuasive. The letter is clearly written, but the overall tone needs to be more formal and business-oriented to fully meet the requirements of a professional application.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The letter is organized into logical sections, moving from your background to your current experience and finally your availability. However, the paragraphing is weak; the entire body of the letter is essentially one large block of text. Using clear paragraph breaks between the introduction, the body (experience/suitability), and the closing would significantly improve the structure. Cohesive devices are somewhat limited and occasionally mechanical, such as the repetitive use of 'and' to connect ideas. To improve, try using more varied linking words like 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in addition' to connect your sentences more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to communicate your points, but there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice. For example, 'educational carrier' should be 'educational background', and 'well dressing' is not standard English; 'professional appearance' would be more appropriate. You also use 'grab a job', which is too informal for a formal letter. While your vocabulary is adequate for the task, it lacks the precision and professional register required for higher bands. Focusing on collocations—words that naturally go together—will help you sound more like a native speaker.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include missing articles ('a 30 years old male'), incorrect verb forms ('I am graduated'), and punctuation errors (missing spaces after periods). You rely mostly on simple sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and punctuation hinder the professional quality of the letter. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Additionally, try to incorporate a wider variety of complex sentence structures, such as using relative clauses or conditional sentences, to demonstrate better control over your writing.
