Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing this letter to apply for the waiter/waitress position that I saw advertised in our local newspaper last week.

Currently, I am working part-time at a local grocery store as a cashier, but my contract is ending next month. I am looking for a new challenge in the hospitality sector, and I am very keen to work in a busy restaurant environment like yours.

I believe I am highly suitable for this role because I have good communication skills and enjoy talking to customers. My current job has taught me how to handle cash accurately and how to provide excellent customer service, even when the store is very crowded. Furthermore, I am a quick learner, I work well in a team, and I can stand on my feet for long hours without any problem.I am available for an interview on any weekday afternoon after 1:00 PM. I can also come in on Saturday mornings if that is more convenient for you.Thank you for your time and for considering my application. I hope to hear from you soon.
